Going to add my own thoughts to scrotie's 'if you think trump is the devil' expanded to include a message for my fellow republicans.


1. Trump is effectively going to be a puppet for house/senate republican interests on a lot of matters. (general conservative applications of taxes, trade, healthcare, immigration etc)

2. There's not really too much foreign policy wise he can fuck up in terms of war and if he actually ends up cosying us up with russia that's a good thing.

3. Even if hillary did win the republican held house/senate would make her life hell and she likely would have been seen as ineffectual.

4. Trump is now going to have to prove himself both domestically and on the world stage.

Like it or not he is our president now and for all our sakes we should be hoping for the best not fearing the worst. Conservatives have a lot of good ideas for governance, though I admit not on social issues. There are a lot of good things a republican led government could accomplish.

For some of those who voted for him, Trump was their salvation to end a corrupt pay-to-play administration that made the country more divisive than it has been in a long time between the two parties. For others who voted for him, it was merely the lesser of two evils to get Hillary out of the White House. I fall somewhere in-between. that little glimpse of "hope" for peace, restauration of the american way of life and basic human everyday needs that was sanders?

there is no "left", neither in europe or america.

it took 30 years to brainwash the world into the neoliberal groupthink like "your taxes fund something" and "governmental debt can run a country bancrupt", "governments are like households".

it will take the world another 30 years to get the reality back into people's heads:
- governments running their own currency can fund anything in their own currency without issuing debts
- the state spends first and gets back the money from the private sector over taxes
- the taxpayer doesn't fund anything because the gov as currency issuer is not limited to borrow first
- governments that get indebted in the currency they issue themselves can never get bancrupt for logical reasons


it's about time america pays back the debt it owns to the world: every dollar flowing outside america is a claim towards america to deliver real goods for that dollar. getting rid of the american dollar also means lowering the american influence of the world.

trump already showed the way: get back production into the us. roll back globalisation. let america produce something the world really needs to reduce their debt.

get rid of the eurozone: the only way out of that disaster. who the hell designed a construct that could let countries go bancrupt because they all have to operate with a foreign currency? and what did they think what happened when a country goes bancrupt..

i think the us elections were a wakeup call for european politicians (sorry, it's in german) that you can't fuck people or whole nations endlessly. in the end they want to destroy the whole thing while searching for a way to change it.
and since "the left" proved to be unable to even show a way or will to do that, they resort to elect the right wing, totally ignoing they also have no clue to change things for the better. but they at least show the will.
