I actually assumed this but I don't know. Does Frenzy double dip for poison/bleed?

What? Frenzy doesn't interact with poison or bleed at all. It just increases your attack damage and attack speed based on how many frenzy charges you have.
my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes

Bug Fixes:
People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it.
Too much math here...I just wanna smash stuff and get loot! =p

Frenzy charges are "4% more Damage per Frenzy Charge". They don't say anything about attacks. They definitely worked with PA builds in 2.0

Anyways the first dip would be the actual hit of for example Viper strike (Attack * Frenzy Charges) and the second dip would be the DoT increased by Frenzy Charges (10% Attack * Frenzy Charges). Not 100% sure it double dips tho.

i think he meant frenzy + poison gem for the poison and then stacking damage over time nodes?

i don't see why DoTs wouldn't work with frenzy charges? unless they turned it off, or never had it to begin with

It should double dip, it's more DAMAGE, after all.

I guess that means generic "increased chaos damage" would double dip as well. Worth prioritizing maybe.

Only on the Chaos portion, if we're still talking about Viper Strike, which is, what, 20% of the Physical?

Phys damage will scale 100% of the hit (which scales the DOT)
Chaos damage will scale 25% of the hit and then 100% of the DOT (Double dips but ends up as less)
Poison and DOT will scale 100% of the DOT

So Phys > Chaos > Poison/DOT

Assuming there's no added chaos damage or other sources of DOT.

Also, does anyone know if the less damage from melee splash hits us twice? I know it lessens the hit by X%, but does it then lessen the already lowered DOT by another X%?

Well, the current Melee Splash says 'x% less damage to other targets' for the splash, which, without any qualifier that would exclude anything, means that it would indeed double-dip the 'less' damage. That might be changed with the new splash though, maybe they'll have made it a 'less attack damage to secondary targets'
Will the poison support gem add another stack on poison on hit ontop of the one viper strike does?
