Path of Maps - Track your map runs

I just released a small change in how drops and map tiers are displayed:

- in the item section, maps are now displayed first, always, and the most expensive ones are displayed first. Then, the remaining items logged are sorted by price, in a descending order. So basically you see the maps, then the most expensive drops first.
- the map tiers of recorded map drops are now displayed in descending order, so it's a bit easier to scan.

What about future update to include, say, "0 tier maps", i.e. the Merciless dried lake that players often run ad nauseum as of now, and its potential successor(s) come the Path of Exile 3.0 Update?
I've been considering that for a while and I'm pretty sure I'll it at some point :) I'm really busy with work stuff at the moment, and I have some small improvements to the site on the way, so this particular feature will have to wait a little bit. Maybe for 3.0!

Hey, another little thing I want to report that isn't working quite right:

Searching for drops doesn't work if there is a space in the name of the item.

For example:

http://pathofmaps.com/maps?q=d(hunter)

Will show maps that have dropped the card "Hunter's Resolve".

Searching for that exact card name in various formats:

http://pathofmaps.com/maps?q=d(Hunter%27s%20Resolve)
http://pathofmaps.com/maps?q=d(Hunters%20Resolve)
http://pathofmaps.com/maps?q=d(Hunter%27sResolve)
http://pathofmaps.com/maps?q=d(HuntersResolve)
http://pathofmaps.com/maps?q=d(Hunter%27s_Resolve)
http://pathofmaps.com/maps?q=d(Hunters_Resolve)

Shows zero results. Any version of an item name with a space won't work.

This makes differentiating map runs that dropped, for example:

https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Hunter%27s_Reward

from

https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Hunter%27s_Resolve

impossible without manually going through and mousing over cards until you find perhaps a run that has what you are looking for.

This makes searching for the less common version of something with the same start-of-name (Hunter's reward, in this case) pretty much impossible since the results would be flooded with the common 'Hunter', i.e. Hunter's Resolve.

Is there a syntax I am missing out on for spaces in drop results?

Love the tool.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I think you can search for maps where Hunter's resolve dropped with "d(hunter resolve)" (http://pathofmaps.com/maps?q=d(Hunter%20Resolve)). When indexing the item names, elasticsearch probably drops unnecessary things like "'s". The thing is, the same algorithm should be applied to the search query, so in theory "hunter's resolve" should work. There's definitely an issue, but at least you can kinda go around it.

Also to be honest, I made things like "d(item)" work for fun, but I was thinking that nobody would ever use that, so I didn't spend too much time making it perfect.

I'll look into it when I get time to work on the site.

Is there a way to sort maps by how much Chaos you made? Like I can click how much Chaos I made and it will put them in order of what maps gave me the most value so I can see that?
dont know if it's occurring for anyone else, or if it might just be a cache issue on my end.. but this started happening tonight
Spoiler

it does this whenever i click on the edit button for a map on my profile map page.

@sumfight: yea, you can. In the search bar up top, you can write "by value" and it will order maps by the chaos value displayed on maps. You can also write "by map value", and it will order them by the value of the maps that dropped (but the chaos value displayed will still be the total value).

@cst003: it's not a bug, it's something i added a while ago. Maybe I'll make more things editable, but right now, you can edit the character you ran the map with from there. It's easier than going to the character's tab.
Initially, I created this feature for all the people who were not setting the league of their character, which made it so that they couldnt get the cool "return value" feature.

Small update:

- displays the character's class with an image
- displays challenge count if you're on the ladder. I'll fetch the info periodically, it wont update instantaneously.
