Turns out the Shaper is an avid fisherman and you have to kill him with a fishing rod equipped. As a sign of recognition he will then give you this ring.

A supporter designed, fishing themed unique item. Just wonderful.

That said, I'm surprised you never stopped by the fishing history thread to say hi, or tease this earlier. (admittedly the thread gets little traction, and most vocal members seem to want the fishing joke/Easter Eggs to die)

Either way, thanks for the screenshot, and the information about the two rings that shouldn't be.
