Is this the end of POE?

This thread is just a joke. Take it as such.

...

The evidence that PoE is here to stay is more than overwhelming.

I figured out why POE has its game engine problems. They got their ideas from this website:

If that's what passes for a smart reply these days, little wonder things have gone to shit.

You people really should put two and two together sometime.

I'm just having some fun...

Another league isn't going to fix the problems they are having with this game:

-Trade is a long way off.

-Maps suck.

-Casters suck.

Next generation games are already coming out that will run on this machine sitting in front of me, it barely runs 3 people parties in POE.

Unfortunately, I already know the answer to my original question. Yep.

I usually only criticise GGG/PoE but it is in fact the best ARPG ever made and has the potential to last as long as Diablo 2. (so basically: I disagree with u).

Simply put - no. Just like the 10 000 times people have made the same topic :)

Merry Christmas ! :)

So many people clamoured for the free Xmas gift it crashed the page.

What is this free gift? Can I still get one? D:
Well what do the participation numbers suggest? Trade and activity seems incredibly slow in HC at the moment.

There will come a time when this game gets really quiet, is it happening now? Just around the corner? I still love it, but the people I had run with for years are nowhere to be seen any more.

Wish GGG had of poached those guys who left Runic Games and started working on POE 2. How long does this game have to age and become stale before they starting putting resources into that?

Since it's a game without a subscription fee, there are plenty of people who come and go.

I'm probably an example of that. I usually play a lot for a couple leagues in a row, then I feel the burnout and skip the next league (playing other games, or not playing games at all). I didn't play in the last league at all and it was only now that I even saw act4 - and I'm having fun. Next month I'll hand over another $50 or $100 for a pack, because to me PoE is still the best ARPG even after 1800 or so hours. Chances are I'll also play the next league (the sub-classes sound neat) and then probably get to the stage where I put time in other games for a while. Rinse and repeat.

My main issue in the past was always the optimization of the game or the perceived lack of it. I didn't help that I was playing a lot on laptops with 650M and 750M cards. :) It also had fps drops on the 2500k/gtx570 desktop, but ran mostly okay). I fixed that now by getting a desktop with a 5820k (not a 6700k because I do other stuff on the machine also that does benefit from the six cores more than it would from the higher tact) with a gtx980ti. The game runs extremely well now with everything maxed out, with a stable 144fps in 1440p.

Anyway, for myself I noticed that when I start seeing mostly the bleak stuff, it usually means that I play too much and too hard, and need a break. But that's just me.
