Is this the end of POE?

@Boem: I don't know if you're buying, but I'm not selling. Because, well, you know, that's just, like, my opinion, man.
There's a cool story MoonYu posted in the other forum, I don't know if you saw it:
Spoiler
An angry man searching for answers travels to a remote mountain to visit a renown wise man.
"Please! I beg of you! What is the secret to a happy life?" He cried. The old wise man looked at him and very quietly said, "Never disagree with anyone." The angry man got angrier! "That can't be it!" he exclaimed. The wise old man nodded his head slowly and said, "You're right." You have to be realistic about these things.

@Bars , that's a fine tale :)
You yourself stated you weren't in the closed beta feedback section etc, so i was simply assuming your position is clouded by the absence of relevant information. I was there and i posted multiple times that GGG should provide out-lines on how to provide constructive feedback and around what subjects they actually required it. Non of that actually happened. I know it's just your opinion, which is why i posted mine. Stating that GGG didn't do anything with the feedback provided is blatantly false though. I don't see any grounds to dispute that fact considering all of the changes that happened. A wise men will tell you he has no wisdom. I said I didn't pay for access, not that I didn't have access. I would never speak with that degree of certainty about something I haven't participated in. The changes GGG made were few and late.

" That only makes it more odd you came to the conclusions you are presenting here. 90% of the feedback presented in those sub-boards was rubish and devoid of substenance for GGG. Implying they should act on such feedback is weird to say the least. I am happy they discarded what they discarded, like the 1000 posts about end-game and map progression. Peace, -Boem- edit : also apologies for my assumption. Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes Last edited by Boem#2861 on Nov 10, 2015, 4:20:54 AM

It's fine. I have no intention to start a pointless argument with you about how the game should be balanced, though. I made this mistake long ago when you were claiming Invasion league was fine and I got all angry and said some pretty unpleasant things. We just have widely different views on the matter and that's that.
You have to be realistic about these things.

My view of how the game should be balanced and my perceived view of how i think GGG wants to balance the game are two different things entirely.
From the GGG viewpoint, 90% of the feedback presented was biased and had no sustenance. And on the 10% that was relevant, they acted. Which i assumed they would. That doesn't imply i agree with what exactly they balanced around or for. I think there is a lot more merit for a non-competitive PoE for example. That's my biased view though, so one that holds very little meaning. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

The general tone of these forums are so drab. The game is a ton of fun and its free. I am blown away by the since of entitlement so many people have.

As long as every doom & gloom thread has literally dozens of forum pages, game can't really be that dead.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" I's certainly not the end for many, even if it may be the end for you. I just arrived, a total PoE noob here. What has may be taken you a while to fully enjoy and eventually get bored with is all new to me. So for those leaving and moving on to new things -- which of course is perfectly fine in our world of somewhat saturated PC gaming -- others will join and try out PoE for the first time. What kept me away for so long? D3, TL2, and many others. I'm finally interested in PoE after news of fixing the strict server sync issues. News of that lag (or rather de-sync) kept me away for a long time. Now I can enjoy PoE, may be contribute to the community, and have fun here. New life into a not-so-new game. After all, exiles are always arriving. ;-) " I'd rather not see an auction house in the future of PoE. It keeps every item legitly obtained through gameplay of the character who found it. " PoE is VERY smooth on my PC, and my PC is from 2009. Even in parties. Seriously. High end for that era, true, but at 2560x1600 (2011) and maxed settings, PoE is buttery smooth on just an old Core i7 920 and an NVIDIA GTX 680 (2012).
