Haha, his 560ti is nowhere near capable of actually handling the game in situations where there are tons of effects everywhere.

Maybe in horribly optimalized game like this, but you can play with it Far cry on ultra 1980...
Funny is that D3 got better graphics and got there twice as much fps like here on PoE...
Solo 120fps 6party docs 20fps is definitely my PC problem...

This area has a two main shadowing lights (player light and environment light). In the next patch, or major version, this area will have the shadows turned off on one of the lights so will be a bit more efficient.

So those with decent PC's get a downgrade in visuals? :/

not trying to act out a fanboi here but would you please try to get a team of low paid developers to create a free to play game to have it compared to a multi billion $ companie's game?
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
i got i7 2600k with 16gb ram and asus direct cuII 6870 with vysnc my fps always capped 60 but at docks with flashy party members it goes below 30 most of the action times. Well i was expecting to be less suffering for setup like mine...

That's fair, but it shouldn't be a "get out of jail free card". Not having D3 style cutscenes is fair enough because they're a small studio, but the frame rate being all over the place isn't IMO. Saying that, it is still beta and that does give it some leeway. D3 runs extremely smoothly for me now, to the point where I never drop a frame but in beta and even 2 months into retail it wasn't great.
Well, seems to me all the users experiencing these huge frame drops have one thing in common: an ATI graphics card.
My graphiccard is pretty slow compared to the OP´s(i5-2500k at 4,6ghz,16gb Ram, nVidiaGTX460, with Poe running on a SSD) still my game is constantly between 63-57fps with Vsync turned on, no matter how many people or effects are on the screen.

Just an FYI, ATI died long ago. Or was devoured by AMD, whichever you wish to think about.

RIP
This effect seems to be common to anywhere that there are lights and shadows; something about the shadow graphics system is is simply poor. Yes, ATI card here. I've just turned shadows off completely, which is too bad, since using them to aim at targets offscreen is nice. Of course, Ice Shot still has a strobe light effect (although it was toned down recently), making it nigh-unusable if I leave shadows turned on at all. Solaris temple, with all the furniture and reflections, will actually crash my client if I use Ice Shot with shadows on.

^ This explains everything. Everyone can go home now while the devs figure out why AMD cards are special at failing.
