Trash community when it comes to maps...

SO I just came back to the game last week after a year long break, and wow so many changes! Mainly how this community has turned into complete trash!

Allow me to explain. Over the last 3 nights I have been running TONS of maps typically tier 9 to tier 12 and even a tier 13 once. And in almost all of my games I title it something like this. "Running Maps! T10+ (tips appreciated). Now I know that doesn't mean 100% chance people will tip the guy allowing them to run high level maps for free. But out of 80+ maps in the last 3 days I had 5 people tip me. One guy gave me 20 alch which was cool two others gave me like 3 or 4 alchs also cool. And another guy gave me a T13 map legacy also cool.

Now today due to so many kids going "yolo" dying and than leaving I have put my foot down. its one thing to not have some respect and tip the map maker but now your ruining the map for everyone.

Solution? Charge for the runs. Moment I charge 2c to run the T10+ maps its crickets not a single person shows. And for that level I find it highly reasonable. But guess people are to cheap especially when Im one of the only people running maps constantly for free...

This shit didn't fly a year ago. Most people weren't idiots about how to run maps, and most would at least ive something to the map owners.

And last but not least 90% of these children can't even be bothered with a simple thank you....

so you say "tips appreciated" meaning they dont need to tip you but when they dont you are complaining? is this troll thread?

One of fundamental issues with PoE is what game design is against such thing as Free Maps since its a loss from economical point of view (for map maker). And it is quite unique in its idiocity since other games rather promote groupping/socialising. And while we know what playing in group significanly more simple (safe) in PoE that is not enough to motivate hosting Free Maps since, well, "economy is number one priority".

Most successfull league (from Free Maps point of view) was Ambush since there was unnerfed Catro Boxes which allow ppl to host Free Maps for real, well, or host maps for really low fee. But seems GGG have own opinion what is good for community.

With 6 people in the party, the most you can get is one inventory of items. What is the average value of items you expect?

The highest map I have a chance to play was Courtyard. I did it solo, and brought back 6 inventories worth of rares, most of them went straight to chaos vendor recipe.

I think the guys that did tip you did so because they got something really nice, otherwise they would be at a net loss.

And to be fair, the ones that didn't tip did give you something in return. You received added fire power and added drop bonus. If you don't need those, then you may be better off solo.

Think I missed the Ambush league sadly. It wouldn't be so bad if they would just give us a sensible loot table, to try to offset the economic impact of high level maps.

And to the guy who mentioned solo.
Im a TS build and been stuck in that quasi good enough not good enough range where my next gear upgrade (better rings ammy bow) and trying to 6L are all 10ex + min upgrades. Could I run the T10? Yeah but i would mostly likely die 4 times or 5 with each map being rare'd

Not really as a good chunk turned into a mess with yolo auto deaths from people. And thats not "paid" they got the same exp and loot that they wouldn't have gotten without me.

I stopped playing with random people because of this, they either die all the time with their SUPER COOL GLASSCANNONS or misbehave and get annoying.
I get a feeling there are many very young players..
