[New End-Game Content] - 'Hall of Hate' - explanation inside.

Hey boem,

I think its just a matter of personal prespective, its not like your idea is better or mine is better. you think gear-wise only and I find HoH an additional way to progress [exp wise aswell].

If you and/or your teammates are strong enough to run HoH quickly so be it. Don't forget the master missions will delay the speed of finishing HoH ( and lets face it, even the tier 15 chest will most likely not drop much good loot if any at all).

Taking EXP out of the equation means no EXP lost when dying, which will make HoH runs much less tense, people will be like 'ah we lost nvm bye' and I dont want that.
HoH should be done carefuly while knowing that dying will both ruin your reward and make you lose EXP.

Regardless, GGG said they are about to nerf exp gain in high tier maps.

I have several builds that literally don't care about map mods or boss mechanics.

Here's one doing -max +fire noregen village ruin boss, and another demonstration -max bloodmagic double village ruin boss.

I would literally smash HoH and get free loot and free 82 maps.

A no cost high reward system doesn't fit into GGG's model.

As said before, even with smasher like you it takes much more time to finish HoH than a single map. its 15 maps + master missions.

and in addition its not available all the time.

can easily make it worth currency to enter but I'm trying to avoid it.

I would just whirl past everything and only do the 77+ areas. Kill the boss move on.

Not being available all the time makes it so that people complain about content being time-gated. Like farmville or clash of clans, are you really suggesting PoE becomes more like those games..?

Ideas are cheap, solid justification is not.

We are speaking random times in the day in different times. everyone will be able to join it occasionaly.

I've seen games doing such things, worked amazingly and the hype when gates were openned was awesome.

I find HoH greatly fits into PoE, with more tweaks ofcourse its not final but has the potential to be come something good.

Running maps is the core of PoE's end game and will probably be this way for long time / ever.
However, adding an additional end-game system ALONGSIDE [and not INSTEAD] the maps running will be great, to have some kind of 'temporal break' from the routine. The main idea is to keep the regular maps running dominant while having such feature like HoH available to do from time to time.

Also, the more time HoH will be in the game, the more keys will drop -> more people playing it even when gates are closed.

Yeah I understand this. But you can run atziri or uber perpetually if you can afford the fragments. That's what makes them alternative endgames, the fact they can be done perpetually.

If this hoh becomes time gated, it's not perpetual, just random, and as a result it's not a endgame option.

If you're willing to make it open through keys like atziri you can equivilantely make it as a unique map.

In the end this sounds like an atziri alternative (same idea as atziri). It would probably be more worthwhile for GGG to make new bosses instead of reusing existing ones if they plan a new atziri.

Bad example.
Atziri's map isnt farmable EXP wise, barely items wise. more like Hope farming.
Uber is barely done by anyone (either people cant do / don't want to pay for the fragments, that leaves us with around 5-10% of community running ubers).

HoH will give you EXP, gear and currency.

Im all up for new bosses but it doesnt seems like it gonna happen anytime soon, and overall bosses only [like atziri] isnt available for all people.

HoH can be done if u are either lvl 65 or 98. You'll probably won't reach too far but will still be able to achieve loot/exp out of it.

You mean it like an poe arena? --> HC death = Death or similar to an "arena game"

I´d prefer the idea --> no exp gained + no death/exp penatly (hc death = still hc)
Then its like an "arena game" to gain additional loot and see how far you can go.

Maps = exp / random loot
HoH = "random" loot + challenge
Aziri = exp + atziri item + loot
