[New End-Game Content] - 'Hall of Hate' - explanation inside.

Hey guys.
So I believe we deserve a new end-game content that isnt just grinding regular maps. Important: It's yet to be decided if HoH will grant experience or not (and you won't lose exp on death). (Optional: No EXP gain but will be a HoH ladder). Hall of Hate Introduction: A new gated area in the Eternal Laboratory will be set, and will be available occasionaly few times a day (generally around 40-50% of each day it should be openned). There will be an icon near the mini-map showing if the gates are openned or closed + a note in chat once its openned. While the gates to the Hall of Hate are open, you will be able to group up with 1-5 friends and enter the Hall (or run it solo). After entering the hall gate, before the first floor there will be a gathering room, allowing you to wait everyone in your group to enter before you access the first floor. Once someone enters the first floor, no one else will be able to join this run, so making sure the whole group is inside the gathering room is important. Note: Once you enter the gathering room you'll have 10 minutes timer before you (and your teammates) will be kicked out of the room (to prevent the posibility to exploit and have multiple accounts AFK'ing in gathering room). Hall of Hate explanation: You enter a random tier 1 floor (the enviroment can be of any map we know of - its random). Each floor will have random properties (including everything - blood magic, no regen etc) + a random boss from the same floor tier. In order to move to the next floor, you need: 1) kill the boss. 2) have 20 or less monsters remaining in the current floor. (The entrance to the next floor will be located in a random spot). Once you reach a new floor, each player will be able to choose between two paths: Reward or Continue. Reward room will have a chest with random items. The higher floor you reach - the better rewards. Continue will move you to the next floor (next tier) again - random environment, another boss to kill. Total of 15 floors (15 tiers: 68 - 82) + a bonus floor. Each floor will be significantly harder than the previous one, with more % to get harder map properties. Floors 1-5: Random map + Random boss. Floors 6-10: Random map + Random boss + Chance to have a must-do random master mission. Floors 11-15: Random map + Random boss + a must-do random master mission WITH timer. Bonus Floor: 16: The Grand Reapers - 3 random bosses from the 3 highest tiers will be in the same room together, each of them giving you tier 15 level of loot. Note: Dying in floor 16 will bring you back to the reward room of floor 15. The chest reward: The chests will contain every possible loot, while the items level will be +3 from the finished floor. For example, openning the chest reward from tier 3 (equals level 70 maps) will drop ilvl 73 items. This means that the chests in the last floors (floors 15 & 16, equals level 82 maps) will drop ilvl 85 items. Note: The monsters' loot in the actual floors will behave like they do now in the regular maps. same for boss. Running HoH while gates are closed: I do love events that are randomly appearing during the day, but I also think that there should be an option to run this events in an additional way, therefore: The reward chest from floors 11-16 will have 50% chance of dropping an item called 'Forsaken Key', allowing you to enter the Hall even when the gates are closed (the gates will be interactional - if you don't have the key you'll get a note saying "The Hall of Hate is currently closed", if you do have the key it will ask you if you want to enter the Hall of Hate). Is there a catch? Yes! Each key has 20% chance to work and let you enter the HoH. (Failing entering the Hall will give you a message like "Aww, wrong keys I'm afraid" and the keys will be destroyed). You will be able to have a stack of up to 5 keys, giving u 20% increased chance each (up to 100% with 5 keys). You will place the keys just like we place divination cards now. (Optional: The keys will be account-bound). On success, the gates will remain openned for 30 minutes, giving you time to group up with 1-5 friends and enter together. Once you enter the first floor, the gate will become closed again (unless at this time the gates will be generally openned). Important notes: 1) Once you fail a mission / die - you CANNOT go back to the Hall. you either wait your friends to finish or start over with a new group. 2) If you choose to continue and fail / die - you will NOT recieve any chest reward (the only thing you get in this case is the loot that dropped from clearing monsters in the floors). Therefore, choosing to continue is risking your current reward but giving u chance to reach a reward chest with more IR/IQ. 3) Once you're in the HoH - you can't go out (meaning u cant change flasks / gear during the run). As said if you leave the area you won't be able to re-enter. 4) No maps will drop inside HoH. Main players' benefits: Randomness & more challenging and fun grinding. Random boss inside a random map, random loot reward with expectation to good loot once you reach the higher tiers. Also having the expectation to see the gates open is always fun, the thrill once you see the gates are up and ready for you to fight :-) Main GGG's benefits: Can use the already-made content (just in a different variation) so don't need to invent anything new. Obviously additional map layouts / bosses will be amazing but its just optional. I really hope and wish we will have this sort of thing in PoE, as a dedicated player I want nothing but the best for this amazing game. I'd dig it. This sounds like something that would be lots of fun to do and you could push to get higher each time which gives you something to work towards.

I don't know about the random time of day feature, ideally one would want an endgame area to be available 24/7. Otherwise, this sounds like a fantastic idea! I love the idea of randomized tiers that are gated by DIFFICULTY, not RNG. Fantastic idea OP.
However, I have one idea to add: Attach this area to Act 4. Doesn't really matter where, as long as it's in Act 4. Then, whenever Act 5 comes out, add ANOTHER endgame system, totally separate from this and maps. Let maps be for Act 3, this for Act 4, and then let Act 5 have its own thing. All of them would be high-level content that would allow the player to choose what areas they run to get good gear and experience. As it is, it's maps or GTFO, and I can't bring myself to play maps. It's SO boring to me. Something needs to be done. |

Maps have 6 portals so if I solo I have 6 chances to... everything, going back to sell stuff, kill the boss or whatever.
Your Hall of Hate idea sounds like... you can solo but still have only one life. Isn't that unfair for me? :( An the fact that I get back to the reward area of floor 15 when dieing in floor 16 sounds a bit like there is no risk. Sure you called it "bonus"floor but still the risk on that one is missing I guess. |

" There are NO portals mate. Theres one entrence which leads u to the gathering room . you can enter this room as solo or wait ur teammates to join you. once you enter the first floor (the gathering room will have the entrence to 1st floor) you can't go back again inside if you die/lose. It's pretty similar to D3's greater rifts...
One comment from my side - the key you have mentioned - should be account bound IMHO. Overall interesting idea.... May God have mercy upon my enemies; they will need it.

Love this suggestion. I think having the keys gated by two separate 20% RNG instances would be a bit much/frustrating. You are taking risk getting into the higher tier maps. You then have a 20% chance for the key to drop then another 20% chance for it to work. With a system like this, I like that there is a 20% chance for it to drop but once you have the key (account bound), it just works. No double RNG factor. Other than that, I would love to do something like this.
