About the state of 2 handed weapons.

2h spellcasters seem fine but 2h fighting could use some love.


some time ago someone sugested a back shield that can be equiped with 2h, they would provide bonus similar to shields but wont give block or have sockets




to avoid buffing 2h spellcaster i would add that this shields should not roll spelldamage or spell crit.

BUT, if GGG thought doing something like that would help further their game, they'd have done it already, as it's been brought up a zillion times since I began playing PoE.

Ridiculous double standard where bows are really 2 handed and get extra mod bonuses from quiver, but 2h melee weapons don't get a sheath like equip similar to quiver.

I agree grant, some sort of offhand that will give life, resist, maybe some dps stats like crit, flat damage, attack speed etc.

They dont need block, you get more damage than 1h builds despite what people are saying, you sacrifice defense for it.

I support them getting a stat stick offhand slot but I think people here are making a big deal over very little.

says sid, meanwhile etup hits the first lvl100 in tempest playing 2h cycle and now has a mirrored axe over there, obviously etup being a poor man who cant trade compared to sid, obviously etup being a person who doesnt know how to choose a good build the way sid does?

Just because a lot of you say it doesnt make it true, largely 2h are fine, a quiver style slot would justified but the rest of it is just hot air.

A lot of problems have been fixed indirectly since game is no longer centered about stacking flat damage bonuses auras and going the fastest possible weapons to scale the flat damage increases.
