Awesome that GGG gives us insight on these things, love to take a peak once in a while on the development. KEEP IT UP!

To be honest, not particularly excited about this one. Way too similar to lightning arrow.

The end result really similar to Ethereal Knives, but expectedly, the damaging zone interacts well with AoE increase instead of projectile speed. The skill doesn't interact that well with the current stat choices for bow users. AoE with bows? Maces can at least get some AoE increase from the skill tree and from the new implicit.

a major factor for skills when it comes to usability which wasn't mentioned is: mobility.

while some skills allow the player to move while doing damage, others require he player to stop and cast/attack. players will always go for "mobility skills" rather than "stand and fight skills" if the latter aren't substantially more powerful.

Interesting concept & presentation, I'd love the full video.

Meanwhile, the lightning strike projectile mechanics receives no love.


Fix it like you did with glacial cascade, maybe add a "bounce from walls" component for it, and people will actually play that skill.


Also, fix the crosshair location for arrow trajectory: the character isn't shooting arrows where the crosshair is aiming, but a bit to the side <--- really annoying, especially with puncture.

Doesn't matter. You just go crit crit crit.
