Looking for good TV Series

Hey guys I'm searching for a new awesome TV Series, but it shouldn't be any comedy stuff ;).

I already watched Prison Break, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Dexter, Jericho, Flash Forward and Game of Thrones and I enjoyed all of them, just to give a small orientation.

My all time favourite - Scrubs. Also Californication is pretty good

I am liking The Following on NBC.

Tarek: Based on what you've already named, I take it you like premium level dramas that emphasise writing over fluff. Thus: try Sons of Anarchy, The Wire, The Shield, Boardwalk Empire, Six Feet Under, Rome...they should keep you busy for a while.

Just got done watching the BBC series Merlin. Its not bad but can be pretty silly at times.

IF you have netflix available I would recommend based on what you listed a BBC drama called Luther and The netflix original with Kevin Spacey House of Cards. Plus what Charan already suggested.


Speaking of Breaking Bad I can not wait for next season! Its the best show on TV right now imo gonna be sad to see it end.

I'm also about to start Justified, which has some interesting links to Deadwood.

Basically, any series by HBO and AMC is quality stuff. Given how good Breaking Bad is right now, I'd say AMC is giving HBO some real competition.

FX and Showtime are second tier for me but still produce some good shows.

Starz is super hit-and-miss. Never got into Spartacus (seemed like a cheap, dumbed down version of Rome) but I liked their Pillars of the Earth miniseries a lot (again, Deadwood connection).

Across the pond, I think shows like Being Human, Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes, Sherlock, Skins (the earlier stuff mostly) and Misfits are pretty good viewing.

Doctor Who is pure guilty pleasure but it has some really good music...

A little gem on Syfy, which has otherwise turned to steaming shit, is Alphas. It's a pretty solid procedural crossed with X-Men, but with the interesting clause that all the 'Alphas' have serious drawbacks.
