Omg, nerf this low latency, now I won't have any excuses when I die at HC!
Game's broken.

On a side note, I'm having a lot of spikes when using lockstep. I'm with 20/50 ms lat. but having spikes going from 120/800ms(!!!!!) each 5 seconds or so

Latency went from 150 to around 60 (Texas to Brazil servers) using lockstep since available.

I am living in Natal, Brazil.

Happy with the first hour of the new server. Will be ecstatic when they iron out their initial problems.

First, thanks GGG for the Brazilian server

Ok, I'm updating my ping. It was 300 ( Brazilian Gateway ), and dropped to 50ms somedays ago ( Still Brazilian Gateway ), and today my friend who lives in my street has 50ms and me 160 ms. I don't understand, looks like we swapped our latency...

Thanks again, I'm having fun in HC League, but with 160ms again it's very terrible for hardcore.

Chris, I think you'd like to add something about the possibility to keep english client for non portuguese speakers from south america in your original post.

Otherwise you will have to clear this out at least 10 times per day. If it's boring for me to read it, I can't imagine how it is for you =D

First, thanks GGG for the SA server <3 Now I may die only due my lack of skill. Also, as said earlier, an option to keep the game in english would be nice.

I played a few times on the server and had a ping of 40~50 for most of the time (far from ideal since I live in São Paulo, but way better then the 150 ping I'm used to have in the Washington server), tonight however I had massive spikes and pings 250 high, so I guess you'll still be ironing out the server for a while.

I usually play with 180+ ping to Texas, from Uruguay.

I get 260+ ping to the Brazilian gateway.

If i use a program called WTFast it goes down to 60+ ping.

I guess the real issue is how the connection is routed to the server, not the server itself.

No idea how to fix it without this program tho'. Hope people from GGG can give us a way to actually get good ping , otherwise i hope we don't get punished for using external programs to achieve that. I've been playing since payed beta and its really exciting to be able to play hardcore for the first time, hopefully theres a way to solve the issue with connectivity to br servers from countries other than brazil itself.

There is not much GGG can actually do in this case. They can gather data an communicate it to your ISP, which probably won't get many results (ISPs don't even listen to their customers in SA so...)

The best shot (and probably what they are going to do) is send the data to Softlayer so that Softlayer can iron out the routing with the ISPs, on most scenarios you could consider this a Win-Win scenario for both companies, but again, most ISPs are either scammy / don't care.

WTFast isn't considered an illegal external program by any company so far (and GGG probably isn't the exception).
