No I don't have any issues regarding some stupid online names. Couldn't care less and I'm quite stunned that someone really cares that much that they make a thread about it.

Last time i played with someone named like "YOLO_SWAGGER_YOU_MAD_BRO" i loled little. :)
On topic: i dont care about names, till they dont use special characters.

Support's crackdown on names lately has even me not playing some characters I created during Closed Beta.

Right now, it's just best to avoid *anything* that is even vaguely sexual, crass or lewd. Seriously. Some of the names I've seen get reported and acted upon wouldn't sound particularly bad coming out of a ten year old.

But there it is, in Terms of Usage. Anything with foul language -- nixed.

I do not report many names and I do not handle many name reports. I don't personally believe in some of these decisions but I defer to the authority of those who make and run this game.

We need a fucking name filter and we need it two months ago, and it needs to have only the most obvious of candidates. The racist and cultural slurs that we basically mute on sight.

Because there's no need to use those in a name on this game. There just isn't.

But there is such a thing as going too far...

Because I like the ass in assassin, and the dick in Dickens. I like the fact that 'bitch' can also mean a mean, cruel woman and that you can't have banal, canal and analysis without anal.

So yes, even with a naming filter, you can guarantee we'd be getting name reports...but we'd sure as hell be getting a lot fewer we'd have to act on.

I wouldn't be so sensitive about this. You should be mature enough to ignore this.
