Map drops - assessment of 2.0.0, and changes coming in 2.0.2

This is great news, thank you!
That's all well and good but until you fix the map crashes that have been going on since 2.0, the "endgame" is simply too frustrating to bother with. Almost 30 pages of crash reports, no dev comment: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1307435/page/27

I can chain 75/76 by just alching them so losing one of them to the portal bug is no biggie, but when you start chiseling/chaosing/vaaling just so you can continue to play at 78 +-1, and you try to maximize the amount of mobs in your map but more mobs leads to more likely crashes, and you waste time placing portals in "safe spots" but the map still crashes - well, that's not something I'm willing to put up with.

And what am i supposed to do until next week? Waste my maps knowing the drops gonna increase? Releasing this statemnt a week before patch was a huge mistake

If I may suggest a few fixes:

1.) Make unique monsters in instance (exiles, beyond, invasion boss) drop +1 maps. It simply doesn't make sense that difficult monsters cant drop maps, while dead environment can. Sources of map drops have been over-nerfed.

2.) Scale the chance of map boss dropping a map, with total map quantity. Just having a flat 20% chance to drop any map, does not incentivize players to kill the boss. If you scale that chance with tot. map quantity, people will run higher Q maps and make an effort to kill the boss.

3.) Buff Zana dailies. If Zana 8 gives you a 74 or lower map, there is simply no reason to run it. Zana 8 should open 76s as base, with potential for 77 & 78.

Well, it's the second time in the history of this game that you are clearly giving up your "vision" because of forum whining. Last time was ffa loot, it didn't turn out very badly ; I hope this time it won't either but I guess everyone will be sustaining 79 maps in a week; and jungle valley/torture chamber bosses will have their dmg divided by 4 or something.
The argument about the "dominant version of the game" is also very sad to hear ; GGG used to not care about what the majority wants, they did the game they wanted themselves ; not the game the masses in softcore want. Hope you won't lose your soul too much on this path.
My only rant towards mapping is a lot of Map Bosses are just "SKIP" tier, which is just an awful design.

Hard doesn't equal in getting spammed by a rapid-firing Boss, dealing 50% of your health pr. hit, that's just a lazy design.

I'm alcing/chaosing every 74-75 map (so they are 75-100 quanity) in Tempest for about 1.5-2 weeks, and it's pretty hard to sustain even 74.
Like one guy said on reddit: "I'm more likely to get a unique, than 75 map"

And I newer saw 76+
