 The no-lifers will always smirk at the lower class of PoE players (just about everyone else playing PoE) and say "ain't RNGesus a bitch" like it was a badge of honor and something that GGG should be highly proud of. It's not rocket science to know that a game developer can make their game uber hard and place a "hardcore" label on it. But it's stupefying that a game developer of a free-to-play arpg would want to alienate a large segment of the arpg loving populous just to satisfy the few (themselves included) that think RNGesus should slap us down hard at the end of every zone or map. What's even more stupefying to me is that The Awakening makes it all too easy to cruise through the zone content of monsters and then get slammed with one-shot death spikes of damage by the end boss in way too tiny of rooms that make proper kiting all but impossible. RNGesus is a very vengeful and spiteful entity indeed. I think it is more like RNG-Chris and company that blindly think that all who play PoE love it that way (maybe if the 7.5% xp death penalty were lessened then hitting the RNGesus smack down arenas of death would be an easier bitter pill to swallow).

 But then GGG goes and does something that confounds me even more. I just finished the Merciless Grand Arenas and while I enjoyed them in Cruel I absolutely loved them in Merciless difficulty. Why? Because I have adequate room to kite successfully, have many objects that I can dodge behind, and all the monsters are not dumped on me all at once (if I don't go near the gates then that pack of monsters won't come out until I'm ready for them). The Grand arenas are a winner in my book and RNGesus smiles upon me every time because I can clear them without needing to bail to prevent death, can kite to avoid the one-shot death champions, and know that if I make a stupid move that death is always near so the excitement is at RNGesus' best. Go figure.

RNGesus looked favorably upon me at one point as I have 1 Exalt, 2 Blessed, and 4 Regal orbs.

RNGesus has been mean to me with only 18 fusings, 2 Gemcutters, 13 Chisels, 5 Vaal, and 14 Chaos orbs, and only 15 Divination Cards (DC drop rates are a f'cking joke and GGG needs to buff drop rates).

I have a level 72 exile.

Just to share, ran 7 Atziris in Warbands to get 7 Flask. Pretty depressed.

Tried crafting a +3 bow on over 30 bows, spending 1-2ex worth of alterations and regals. Nothing achieved.

Lv 87 and no exalt drop or anything over 30 chaos yet. Best is a max rolled Kaom's Primacy.
Managed to grind to slowly edge at 5ex wealth currently, hoping to finally gear up.

Still there was 1 day i found 4 low level 5 links. Found a divine with a friend. Found 2 tabula rasas too.
That's about it.

It sure feels like he is throwing thunderbolts at me instead of dice.

For about one week now I am trying to get a decent %ipd roll on a Vaal Rapier on Warbands. I am transmuting every white Vaal Rapier I find and I have dropped about 400 alterations on a VR with a higher ilvl. I don´t even want T1, anything above 125% would be totally fine to boost my dps significantly, so I could even use a high roll T4(!) ipd. Within this time my highest roll was 119% - ONE TIME! And it was together with 9% stun duration. My expectations are low, yes, but not THAT low. I KNOW that I need a lucky regal afterwards, but I dont even think about that. Just getting a decent ipd roll seems to be my unbreakable barrier. Fuck this game! Sometimes at least...


P.S.: if anyone has a blue Vaal Rapier with 125% ipd or more and either no suffix or ias/critchance, please contact me, I will pay a fair price :´(

PS this doesn't apply to racing, which is much, much more deterministic. RNGesus dislikes races, especially Descent. His absence from races shouldn't be underestimated. :)

Well said, I guess I am just going through a crisis remembering that *dramatic voice* after all these years luck has never shined upon me. Ah and a quote from one of my favorite movie characters...

I am playing warbands. Currently on my 6th chancing orb spree to get volls devotion

That means I have gone through 5(58*6)= 1740

1740 chances already and I'm about to lose my shit!!!!

I always die alittle bit inside when i hear these 'stories'. 'Years of playing and no exalt drop ever'. 'Played for 17years, not 1 unique drop worth more then 1c'.

Come on, seriously. Maybe you people should try and play the game instead of whining on the forums all day long. If you played for years and have 1 char above level 80 you might want to take into consideration that you don't play this game at all.

Errr did you think about the possibility that I might have played a LOT of 80+ characters who died and afterwards were deleted because I never played in standard and that my only character in standard atm is for testing some awakening mechanics? (And yes I've lost many characters because after a certain point I always push my luck too much)

You didn't, did you?

PS: Also have 0.22 posts per day. That's not whining on the forums all day long. I only whine 0.22% of a post every day.
