cheers! i think I'm making the trade tomorrow
I know people like to hate on Alienware. But i recently bought a x51 and upgraded it a bit. And it has been the best PC ive ever owned. It runs this game fully maxed with no drops below 60. I also have no issues with other games i own either.

I understand why most people are mad at alienware owners and like to make fun of them. But really they are not bad computers. Dell is not a bad company either, they have really good support and make decent computers.

Asus is also a great choice too. But i dont like laptops period so i have no input on the two. I wouldnt buy an Alienware laptop because they are very expensive and run too hot. And based on the reviews for the Asus laptop you are suggesting, which i was going to buy a few years back, it also runs hot and has its issues as well.

The bottom line is, if you are going to be a PC gamer, you need a desktop. You can build the best possible desktop for gaming for half the price of buying the best laptop for gaming.

Laptops are too limited when it comes to upgrades and the amount of time before they are considered outdated and obsolete.

Do yourself a favor and build a desktop beast.

I already have a desktop gaming computer. This would be to supplement my gaming when I'm on the go, and to do work on away from home.
Solution - save some energy + money and buy PC. It will be faster, cheaper, and after something will break down, you won`t need to change all motherboard with integrated details x)

P.S PC - means personal computer. Which also means, it is not a laptop.
If you still think it would be cool to buy a laptop, buy Asus. For 1 simple reason - it`s cheaper, and when after a 2 years you will drop it in the trash bin, you won`t regret so much.
Asus or Toshiba Qosmio

I already have a gaming pc. I was looking for a decent laptop to play on the go.

Also I'm pretty sure a laptop is a personal computer too. "A laptop is a personal computer for mobile use" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laptop

I've heard good things about the qosmio... What about origin?
Never buy a gaming laptop because those become obsolete too quickly. But if you must, get the Asus. Used to work for them and their laptops are solid (own one myself).

Alienware on the other hand. Just don't buy it. Trust me.
Listen to them.... I am using an Alienware M17x before the Ichips. I can't say its bad but a few months in and out you would find the price wont do it justice. Its still capable of playing most latest games on mid to mid high settings but whats the point of playing PC if you can't get the bets of it?

The one good thing about the Alienware is that you can switch out most parts like a desktop. So I can get better GFX cards and processors at the price of an arm and a leg.
