SEEMS LIKE ASUS IS WINNING! Alright guys you have effectively changed my mind on this one.. I guess I'm a victim of dells marketing...

So it will definitely run PoE with decent quality? (I also may need to hook it up to a monitor occasionally)

It will run POE and pretty much anything else you want. However I looked at a picture of the ASUS and it's the same bulky model I have a version of. It's better then the Alienware but it still is kind of weird so if you can switch to a different model that would be ideal.

Yeah I was a little drawn back by the bulky look of the ASUS (looks kinda like a jet fighter) and the Alienware is SO DAMN SMALL... seems kinda neat. I could play over 3g while on the train or something haha.

inserted the two images.. not sure if it will work
Yeah, I would say stay away from that ASUS model (not that ASUS is bad, they just happened to make one really bulky model) but the Alienware just isn't an option if you want to play any games at a reasonable frame rate. The good thing about the ASUS model is the heat comes out the back, so it's not only very efficient at cooling (for a laptop) but you can use it on your lap without overheating your legs. Also I noticed both the laptops have pretty lackluster processors, not that there's a different option here but yeah.

Even though the alienware has 2g more ram?

You could buy 8GB of compatible RAM to throw into the ASUS for like $50. RAM is cheap, even laptop RAM. :p

Carry on, folks. :)
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

good to know! thank you!
Asus has WAY better specs, like several times higher.

You don't really need more than 4GB memory either, it just mostly speeds up alt+tab speed. Of course it's cheap and simple to add more, as some have already said.

Personally I'm a PC guy but I would do the asus.
RIP Diablo franchise

Congrats Chris & others for cashing out! I don't blame you. I'll be saving money now... unless I start making a lot more. Can't wait to see if you guys start a new studio in six years! RIP GGG
