New laptop to play path of exile.. help me decide! ASUS vs. ALIENWARE

I'm a student right now so cash is tight, but I have a 4th generation iPad that I don't use and I have found some people willing to trade me their gaming computers (older ones mind you) for it. Essentially I am down to two different computers (I currently play on a desktop only so this computer would be to supplement this computer while I'm not at home).

The first:
Asus G53sx V2G 15"
screen resolution 1366x768
750 GB hard drive
RAM DDR3 1333 4G*4
CPU: 2670QM(i7)
window 7
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560M-2BG
Directx 11
comes with R.A.T 3 gaming mouse
charger
and original box

The second:
Alienware m11x R2
1.20GHz Intel Core i7 640UM (4MB Cache, max turbo frequency 2.266GHz)
6GB PC3-8500 DDR3 (2 x 2GB)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
11.6" WXGA WideHD LED Backlit display (1366x768)
500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
Nvidia GeForce GT 335M Discrete Graphics (1GB GDDR3) with switchable Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics
802.11b/g/n, 10/100 LAN
3-in-1 card reader
8-Cell Li-ion 64WH battery, 90W Power Supply
Dimensions: (W x L x H) 11.25" x 9.19" x 1.29"
Weight: 4.4lbs

The are both 1-2 years old.

I am leaning towards the Alienware just because I find it more aesthetically pleasing.. I also like the fact that that it is tiny.. it would be easier to use for school. The problem is I have no idea what the hardware differences between these computers are, or how that will affect gameplay. I am a noob when it comes to computer hardware on laptops.

Opinions would be very much appreciated!
I'd say get the Asus, it seemingly has better specs (not 100% sure)
Don't buy the alien just for the brand name

also the RAT 3 sounds nice
Asus G53sx V2G 15"
screen resolution 1366x768
750 GB hard drive
RAM DDR3 1333 4G*4
CPU: 2670QM(i7)
window 7
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560M-2BG
Directx 11
comes with R.A.T 3 gaming mouse

Okay, would add a 120 gigabyte SSD onto it and it would be great

Alienware m11x R2

Alienware

stopped reading there

yeah, go with the ASUS

15 inch isn't that big

Not only is Alienware a piece of shit, I'm assuming those laptops are similar prices and the ASUS blows it out of the water spec wise. You would have trouble running POE with the card in the Alienware.

And if by aesthetically pleasing you mean "I want to look like that guy who tries to show off his nerdiness with his laptop but really just looks like a clown," go for the Alienware.

Yes, unless you're doing hardcore multitasking (video editing) you won't need more then 4. More RAM is not worth the hit you take getting the Alienware.
SEEMS LIKE ASUS IS WINNING! Alright guys you have effectively changed my mind on this one.. I guess I'm a victim of dells marketing...

So it will definitely run PoE with decent quality? (I also may need to hook it up to a monitor occasionally)

Well you need to be more clear

the Asus says 4gb*4

the alienware says 6gb 2x2gb....

please fix the math

It will run POE and pretty much anything else you want. However I looked at a picture of the ASUS and it's the same bulky model I have a version of. It's better then the Alienware but it still is kind of weird so if you can switch to a different model that would be ideal.
