I recognise the current trading system in....
" Yeah, if the trading system is the worst part, then this game is doing pretty damn great. "You go on pretending that you own the universe,
And we'll all be here watching as you're falling down to Earth." |

" Exactly. I never said it wasn't though :). Its still my favorite game. But the trading system sucks. Don't forget to drink your milk 👌

" No. You probably never seen me trying to be edgy :P It would result in some long ass probation. The point of my post was that being "progressive" is not always good and sometimes "archaic" systems are better. See "progressive" politics around the world :D And yeah I'll be forever butthurt about D3, nothing is stopping that salt mine. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence. Last edited by Xavderion#3432 on Aug 11, 2015, 2:37:27 AM

Can someone come up with some better anti-AH arguments besides "D3 sucks so AH sucks"?
Now that desync is fixed, the trade system is on my #1 spot of what is dislike about this game. Last edited by Sisaroth#5793 on Aug 11, 2015, 3:21:07 AM

" Short form: Because the average player's progression curve would be a lot higher (quicker that is). By making trading easy content gets trivialized within weeks for most players and you got the problem that many players can do up to lvl 80 maps but are still stuck on 74 maps. For that reason droprates would have to be nerfed to stop this inflation. And let's be honest, drop rates ain't that great already. Also the average item (Life + some resists) would quickly drop in worth until its almost unsellable, so you would not even have a flow of income anymore. However uniques that are desirable would be unpayable for most players because everybody has equally progressed and now needs them as an upgrade at the same point of the game. IGN: Kyrell

" Some items will lose value due to being available 24/7. Botters will have a field day outbidding you .3 seconds after you place your bid. Game loses a huge social aspect which imo is very important to have. Some other things to think about it: 1. Currently many people know who's who in the trading world. We can put names to the richest of the rich and some people are actually bothered by knowing that XxXmastergamer420XxX is pissing exalts and sitting on mirrored weps. I've been told by somebody in game that having an AH and making the process anonymous would make them feel better about trading. So AH = anonymous = baddie #1 doesnt have to cry about XxXmastergamer420XxX getting his 300th mirror 2. P2P (player to player) trading encourages scams. Some people want an AH because of the ability to scam when a trade window is in front of them. Fact of the matter is many PoE players played D2. If you arent already aware of the oldest tricks in the book by 2k15, get educated. D2 isn't even the only game I can mention but I assure you the methods dont change, just the items My personal opinion is to forget about convenience. If you want money make it yourself. Not click this button to list my shit and have somebody buy it 3 minutes later. Also how many 3rd programs does the community have access to now? Come on dudes this stuff is literally handed to you on a platter. People dont use these tools and make money so what are you complaining about? tl;dr keep the game oldschool IGN: Inshiterate
So this is art? Awful lousy way to make coin |

" oh shit, yep, we have the 21th century: hand out them ezomyte lazer weaponz!!1 btw: guilds often share a pool of items, everybody supplies, those in need get those items which is basically communism. who would have thought that the progress would just make such a jump forward... age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

it's not even really bartering, very rarely do people trade an item for another item
we have currency to trade with, it's like different kinds of money coins |

I think the main issue with an AH would be like some said before, botters. They would overflow the market with cheap items, so you wouldn't be able to sell a thing anymore. The only reason i see people complain on PoE trade system is because they have been made lazy by blizzard like companies. They are used to be given a hand with everything and can't do a damn thing for themselves anymore.

What we really need first is asynchronous trading, so that no one need to stay up in the middle of the night, or interrupt your normal play just to trade an item.
