Life leech on a totem does absolutely nothing. I'm surprised if life on hit actually does.

It does, I've tested it 20 different ways. And in alot of situations its OP.
at first glance this doesnt seem very node efficient, for example on the left you could go the 3 str nodes near endurance charges and swap the str node above 2h weapon damage and below mace damage to the one above allowing you to take out the 4 str nodes below resolute technique and saving a precious point.
also for some reason you dont pick up the 1% regen nodes?
I don't quite understand - i am new, but, why 2 rain of arrow gems? And what is your single-target big dmg ability? Bear trap?
Mess with the best, die like the rest.

You have to bear in mind that this build is meant to be easily swapped from melee to ranger late game, there are 2 wasted points in the build but they are strength nodes so at the end of the day that is 4% physical damage.

I simply didn't need the regen for any reason. The 2% life leech from Blood Drinker and the life on hit from my rain of arrows/split arrow & chain totem was more than enough.

EDIT: Bad Grammar

I use Rain of Arrows with Concentrated Effect for a single target cleave and Rain of Arrows Totem for more aoe/regen.

I was beginning to level a bear trap for even more single target burst.

Ah, i see - so you summon a totem that cast rain of arrows? That's cool.

Yep. If positioned correctly with enough mobs present, the totem is more or less unkillable. When I was using Split Arrow Totem, it was completely unkillable when more than 3 mobs were present.

To elaborate on WHY I use Life on Hit in my totems:

Life on hit is not a Leech Effect, it is life gained when the attack actually makes contact with a hostile entity. Since a Ranged Attack Totem is an extension of your character and, more specifically an extension of your weapon, Life on Hit is not a Leech Effect both the totem owner and the totem benefit from Life on Hit.
I've been tryin this build and it appears as though the loh with rain of arrows does not work.It will restore life to the totem but not to you. If I am wrong can you please post a vid of it working maybe it is just me.

I like this build and am making something similar for my next char. Any chance you could post an early game progression tree? What you did with levels 1-30. It would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance
How did you do the quest for bandits?
