[Updated with Build Progression] Top 10 Hardcore Duelist Build Guide

________________________________________________

BUILD PROGRESSION IS ON PAGE 5 DUE TO SPACE CONSTRAINTS

This is going to be a brief overview of my build and some of the gear I use to make it work. This build has changed at end-game to adapt to a problem that occurs when certain mobs leap while you fire Split Arrow.

To elaborate on WHY I use Life on Hit in my totems:

Life on hit is not a Leech Effect, it is life gained when the attack actually makes contact with a hostile entity.

Since a Ranged Attack Totem is an extension of your character and Life on Hit is not a Leech Effect both the totem owner and the totem benefit from Life on Hit.

Pros:
Fast early game.
Great kill speed that is only amplified in group play.
Single target damage in an area.
No need for life leech gems.
Makes use of Resolute Technique to avoid accuracy and crit related deaths with physical damage.
Tons of Armour.
Easy transition from melee.
An almost unkillable ranged totem in large packs that serves as passive life on hit.
Synergy with bear trap for single target late game.
Can make use of almost all ranged abilities.

Cons:
Limited Auras due to health reservation.
Very limited access to intellect.
Weak to Plated mobs with innate Fire resistance.
If using Rain of Arrows fast moving mobs in a solo game are annoying.

why would you value the 8% hp node over a whopping 1.0.% life per second node in the middle of the duelist start in a bloodmagic build???

You also bridged around to blood magic twice, and could remove the point inbetween unwavering stance and bloodmagic and get a free two points back

and that was at a two second glance...
Plus chain isn't linked to anything. Nor is item quality. Oh the horror.

I don't need the health regen.

Your 2 second glance must have been so fast that you didn't actually pay attention.

It isn't looped around twice.

The build looks good for a bow user, which is sadly what duelists do best.
Btw, I like how you found a use for lava lash!
Looks nice, but my only question is why don't you take the 30% reduction in crit damage?

This was actually a choice I debated for a very long time. The main reason that I decided to opt out of it was that I planned on having resistances well beyond the cap at all times, which I did, so crits from ele damage are 100% ignorable. Melee crits can be scary sometimes but it doesn't really bother me since this was a ranged build.
Would you change anything for default league?

I'm not sure tbh, I would probably use close to the same spec if I leveled in Default. It's very safe if you don't let a Hamburger distract you.
