Malformation Piety Boss. Are you kidding me?
Don't you think you guys went a little over the top with that boss? I mean, it's completely and utterly unbalanced, especially for a level 76 map.
The belly of the beast is a cramped small place, and you have that retarded boss that shoots mostly unavoidable magic (when piety does her retarded damaged beam with the balls already lying around the map), that also causes bleeding on you, on a level 76 map. Huh? Really? If that piety gets close to any of the walls it is not "mostly" unavoidable, it's just unavoidable. I mean, I'm all up for some challenge, but this is a bit too much. The risk per gain is just SO way too high for a level 76 map. I don't see why anyone above level 80 would ever wanna try to kill the boss. It's not like the drops are significantly good. So yes, I will skip the boss from now on. Which is a bit stupid - both because its a level 76 map, and also because - didn't you say you want us to do bosses in 2.0 patch notes? I really think that boss requires some balancing. I really have no idea how a level 76 map boss got away in such as state, it's kind of annoying really, especially in a game that high level death penalty is quite a hit. " While I'm not a top tier, I'm certainly not an "average" player. And btw, if you read the patch notes it said there is 20% chance for any boss on a map to drop a map when killed. Buy anyway, it seems like you completely missed all my points. So, whatever. |

" If that is the case, your charakter is simply not strong enough to get to higher maps. You have to farm and improve it so that it does not get limited by most map mods anymore. That is something i really like in 2.0: You just have to do that annoying map with no regen/temp chains/-max/enfeeble/vulnerability etc just because it has nice quantity and extra packsize. before 2.0 i'd have just rerolled that. Now its finally worth to take the risk. Doing high quantity rare maps without dieing really pays off now, you will recognize the difference in map drops. The only mods I cannot do are physical reflect and that new no-leech-mod, and thats how it should be for a balanced char. Otherwise you will spend up way too much currency rerolling your maps. On topic: I did not do that mapboss yet, does it behave like normal Piety the Abomination with higher life and dmg? If yes, the fight is impossible without dieing for laggy CPUs, but entirely possible otherwise. Even if she stands near a wall, as long as you can run around her you can always 100% avoid the beam. After the beam, run a little away from her so she doesnt throw her stationary dmg over time thingies near herself, you need that room to kite her beam. You should also always try and kill the eye spawners as quickly as possible, cause they can block you to death easily. IGN: Kyrell Last edited by Giveitall#1153 on Aug 4, 2015, 5:08:25 AM

" In my case Piety was just standing next to a wall, so I could not run behind her. And her stationary spells were right next to her too eventhough I tried to run around. I'm a witch, I got teleport with a fast cast and shorten duration, and still it's near impossible to not get hit by her beam, which does insane amounts of damage and bleeding which is also insane since you have to keep running. That boss is just ridiculous. I mean, it would be ok if it was on a 79+ map. There is not a single boss I avoid up until lvl 79 maps so far with my witch - every other boss is manageable to some extent. I also like to roll difficult maps for increase pack size. This boss is just off and unfair, especially it's just a level 76 map and not some high end tier one. |

Ive run an unidentified malformation map and encountered double death beam piety. I couldnt even clear the blue mobs around her before I died 5 times.
Any idea how to survive a double boss? |

Map boss difficulty was always off, compared to map tier. Not sure why.
All the other 76s bosses are a joke, compared to Piety. Residence Dom can be tough, but still doesn't compare. All the 77s & 78 bosses are a cakewalk too, compared to 76 Piety (with maybe the exception of Crematorium). 79 Shipyard?, phew, a cakewalk. This is pure power creep. Old bosses from Act 1-3 are left in the dust, by new Act 4 powerful bosses with new mechanics / attacks / more life / doubledit damage... Act 1-3 ones would need an overhaul. When night falls

"IC FTW, but only in maps w/o "+%dmg as <element>" mods. Or maybe by character that can achieve immunity to said elements. And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
