Srs question, when did people start calling a single, individual monster a "mob"?
mob = "Mobile Object"

a mob is obv a group of monsters (mob as in The mob rules, it's NOT an abbreviation)
but next to the "reroll" asininity, it's neglegible really. there are no words for how stupid and wrong that term is and no words for the people who even defend it, out of sheer [removed by the people who ban you for no valid reason]. no words for the state of mind of those people since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good Last edited by LMTR14#6725 on Aug 2, 2015, 2:22:34 PM

Along with Mob, PvE, Sac, Reroll (back from when stats were randomly generated on starting characters) there was also PK for Player Killer the forerunner to PvP :)
anyone that wants to argue the origins of slang like these is probably a know-nothing kid that thinks the internet started with WoW :P |

Friend of mine that played WoW told me about 1 thing being a mob a while ago but didn't know where it started. We figured it was a programmer/design term and never looked it up lol.
I woulda gone with abbreviating mobile object as mobj as the standard definition of mob is the, well, fucking opposite lol but i didn't write the book. After being around so long though it is no longer technical jargon but slang, and slang is why McJob is in Websters dictionary and McDonalds was unable to remove it. How people use the word is law..... Still think we should all start using the word mobj though :P http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mcjob |

Just think of mob being an abbreviation of 'mobster' and thus grammatically correct for a single enemy. Capisci?

" Newbie = Someone who is new to the game. Noob = Someone who is not new to the game, but is still bad at it. P.S just rough definitions; don't go all nazi on me(unless I've been mistaken for this long) Last edited by ivkoto77777#0822 on Aug 2, 2015, 4:17:17 PM

" Newbie, Newb and Noob is the same. Newbie, newb, noob, n00b, noobie, n00bie, nooblet, or nub is a slang term for a novice or newcomer, or somebody inexperienced in any profession or activity. Contemporary use can particularly refer to a beginner or new user of computers, often concerning Internet activity, such as online gaming or Linux use. Alexis
