Some of those 0 x currency b/o's are legitimately made to bypass that filter. However, not all of them. I saw that there were items listed by me that were 0 b/o without me setting it to such. So I checked with Aquisition and changed it. Some are just there by mistake.
That being said, I always skip 0 b/o listings for that exact reason; people having some crazy price in mind wanting to get offers because nobody would even whisper them if they'd put the b/o.. How this makes sense to them; I don't know. I advice anyone to always put a b/o as this will give you more frequent sales. If you're not sure what you can post your item as, then use poe.trade to get some idea of items (looking for items similar, but not identical, to yours) and put it up for just a bit lower than the average price listings you can find. This will ensure you to get quick and frequent sales if you're doing it right. Liquid currency, is all I really have to add. also.. "Yea, good job on them finding out that if you put a b/o and put it to 0 it will show up first for everyone. I can't imagine it gets those people any sales. I wouldn't buy an item that required more than minimal bargaining, and in reality want to not haggle at all.

Actually this trick triples the amount of cash you earn with trades.
Most ppl that dont know prices will overprice. Even if half of PoE will mute/blacklist you, you earn so much from other half it's worth it :S Not advocating, but it would not become popular if it didn't work. IGN: PojzonAbyss

I just have one page with 0C b/o to put things in during mapping that don´t fit into my other b/o ranges and need a individual price later.
To put them up fast i put them in the 0c b/o and set the price later. Sometimes i forget about it and do it when someone asks for the item. But honestly i feel like its not to much to ask if you ask for a offer, after al lthe buyer is allready searching for such items and sees the price range. I mean its the same thing i would do if he asks for a price: Search for similar items and tell him a price somewhere between the highs and lows that are allready there. I don´t get why so many ppl have a problem jsut telling me what they would like to pay. Current Builds:
