Feedback Request: Tempest League

I personally feel warbands is a better league design but I tend to only play hardcore. I feel the tempests can be impactful but they are often just out of the way for both myself and the monsters and what they do provide doesn't last long enough for the time lost going to get them.
First character: Melee 2h-mace stun. Storms were easily ignored or taken as I chose. Everything was pretty much "meh".

Second character: Bow, iceshot/puncture. Pretty much the same, except it was more common to get stuff happening off screen that I had to react to. I'd say the tempests were more fun on this character.

Third character: Summoner. Painful to play. Summons don't stay out of the damaging areas, so pretty much die. I simply skip areas that have damaging tempests and come back to them later.
Currently in act 2 cruel.

Are the Tempests impactful?
A: Kind of. The damage bonuses are noticeable in all tempests I've grabbed. I try to avoid the damaging ones. I think the buffs should last longer.

Are they scary?
A: I ran into a zone in cruel where the tempest modifier was that all mobs had 50% bonus damage as cold. Noped the fuck out of there and came back when the tempest mod changed.

Do the ones that affect items feel rewarding?
A: I ran into the 'all items have quality' tempest. I'm sure it would've been amazing but it was in the very first zone at level 1, lol.

Are they better at higher or lower levels?
A: Haven't noticed anything besides the dangerous one I mentioned above.

Do people share information about what Tempests are running right now?
A: No.

Did you play Tempest because you thought it was more interesting than Warbands?
A: No I just wanted to play hardcore this time.

Did you play Warbands when you normally would have played Tempest?
A: No.

Some can be, ie diamond tempest on a crit build, charge tempest on discharge
-Are they scary?
diamond tempest that spawns on a pack of massive skeletons while playing melee, very situational for scare factor
-Do the ones that affect items feel rewarding?
the quality one can feel awesome, I feel like it could be amazing when I get to map-farm levels
-Are they better at higher or lower levels?
only to cruel act 1, so I dont know about higher levels, but so far they seem more dynamic and require more strategic gameplay
-Do people share information about what Tempests are running right now?
I stay out of global in general, so i wouldn't know globally, but when i play with friends we tell each other what zones have which 'storms'
-Did you play Tempest because you thought it was more interesting than Warbands?
No, I typically play with the majority of my characters on the hardcore challenge league, with a single YOLO build on the softcore one (4 hp nodes blood magic freezing pulse crit)

I know this is not how it is supposed to happen, but i finally felt powerful enough to face Malachai on Tempest with two other players. We start the fight and suddenly the game freezes and crashes afterwards, and everyone on Standard after logging in again. It feels so disappointing, i didnt even lose a single life at the time of the freeze.

Didn't have that much time to play - just finishing normal on tempest (for the 2nd time xD)

1. To some extent, it is something I keep in mind but I just don't like that the buff is so slow in a sense - most of the time after I finish the pack I see a tempest near, but I don't want to wait a couple of seconds doing nothing inside of the tempest before I get to another pack. This is really boring and even if this gets me a lot of good bonuses I just don't want to play a game of "stop here for 5 seconds every 20 seconds"

I think tempest are Impactfull, I play a summoner and controlling your minions is better with shift move now
The way to see the tempest for maps could be better tho i would hate to waste a high level map to a tempest my build can't do.

Yes some of them are scary and that's a good thing i like being challenged

They are better at high level imo because that's when the cool are impactful while levelling it was nice but i didn't use them at all mostly.

I didn't see people share information for maps, i checked poetempest and i uploaded one but if someone see a tempest and it change in 20 minute its probably not worth the time to tell a lot of people.

Yes i play tempest mostly because its the Hardcore (Challenging One) but i find think that the mecanic from tempest is more impactful (Haven't tried Warbands yet thought)

I would have tried the Hardcore League no matter what.

I really loved the Malachai fight but as a summoner it is too much painful i used Minion Instability i dont think there is another way to do him as a regular summoner. I love the fight is really mecanical i needed to use enfeeble and i used Artic Armor to mitigate a lot of the damage. I like how to area is tiny it make it a lot more challenging but as an hybrid character its harder because i basically have half my life all the time but this is why it was so intense.

Mostly no. The buffs that they give last a too short time to be actually useful or challenging when they land on mobs.

2. Are they scary?
In some zones. Personally I have had a only one really interesting encounter with tempests. I was in chamber of sins which had the fire tempest. Fire tempest combined with small movement area made it much more challenging and more interesting. I was also able to lure mobs into the firestorms more easily. Tempests that happen in outdoor areas are much less interesting. Mostly I just ignore them since they pose no threat. I think the tempests should be much larger while in outdoors to compensate.

3. Do the ones that affect items feel rewarding?
I have not had too many tempests with item affecting, since I am a pretty low level. I have only seen one, which vendored all of the items that dropped. It was not too interesting since the buff lasts only 10 seconds so I was constantly trying to find more tempests to keep the buff up making the zone feel tedious.

4. Are they better at higher or lower levels?
Can only speak for low levels where their effect has been minimal.

5. Do people share information about what Tempests are running right now?
Not really, I have not heard people hunting a specific tempest on global. Maybe if a tempest lands on a boss that they are trying. "gg fire tempest malachai"

6. Did you play Tempest because you thought it was more interesting than Warbands?
I chose tempest because I wanted to start playing on hardcore and why no play tempest for some more extra spark to gameplay.

7. Did you play Warbands when you normally would have played Tempest?
I have not tried warbands.
