[2.2 Video Guide] Beginner's Build: Dual Flame Totem, Blood Magic Chieftain [Atziri & HC/SC Viable]
Afaik there's no cap in damage.
But to consider whether or not those 6 points are worth it, we would need a whole skill tree. As you said, we need to deviate from the original build, that is, cutting 6 nodes somewhere to grab the ones you're looking at. On a general note though, I think that this build needs to stretch far to grab the totem nodes, and the build displayed in the OP is optimized. This is what I came up with by toying around with the tree to grab the nodes in question. Honestly, it feels like a lot of work and detours (the progression is a lot less natural imo) for a very marginal gain. Actually, this would lose damage and 0.8% life regen to gain20% chaos res and 6% max hp. Might be worth it for hardcore if chaos damage proves to be an issue, otherwise don't bother. To learn is to live...

not worth it imho.. if you want more dmg for 6 points investment just take the easily accesible Spell Damage nodes near Witch and Templar starting points
for 6 points there you get +60% spell dmg for your 6 points you get +55% fire dmg |

Tried Poorjoy's today, got it from Zana sa daily. This map is a real pain to play as dual FT. I'm used to a couple mobs running or shooting at me, double backing / new totems / running circles, the usual. Doesn't work if you're constantly in danger of instantly dying though.
I got 3.4 to 4k life unreserved, depending on auras. 10-12.5k ttdps per totem. Only running a 4L ATM, no luck linking my mantle, yet. Any tips on how to make life a bit easier with those stray mobs? I tried blocking doorway's with my totems, placing them at corners, stay farther away, although the latter wasn't really an option since toems die quickly here, and casting range (placement) is very short. I was thinking of Frost Wall, maybe. Last edited by Cr4v3n#1308 on Aug 8, 2015, 4:09:30 AM

" I did Poojoy's couple of days back, it's slow but I didnt die once, switched flammability for enfeble and played really defensive, the totems die rather fast but aslong as you use the IC combo wisely you should be fine. For normal/easy maps I run two handed and flammability, in case of any struggle I go 1wand and the shield, the armor and projectile damage reduction is amazing. |

A quick questions.
1.I have problem for killing tormented spirits. I always play cat and mouse with it and I rarely won because my movement speed suck and Lightning Warp then Flame Totem takes time. Any ideas for catching and killing them? 2.What flasks should I look beside immunes? 3.Many people here discussing damages here. I'm wondering what is the MINIMUM damage that good for totems so it can run and kill any bosses in maps? " 1. I tend to ping pong them with two totems, kinda trap them between both totems and hope for the best 2. I got quicksilver with extra charges and double run speed or something and armor with 100% armor... 3. the DPS really depends on the setup and playstyle you are running, the OP made a health/fire damage base, but some people tend to go crit rather than survivability, as I said before I have around 20k dmg on each totem with vaal haste. |

Hello fellas!
Great guide, i have a question, does the "Totemic zeal" cluster's "Spells cast by totems have x% increased cast speed" Work for flame totem? I do not gain any DPS or casts per second. However i gain dps if i choose "increased totem damage" And normal node like "3% Increased cast speed" IGN: PeaCocc - Talisman SC League

" You do realise that the goal with tormented spirits isn't to kill them, but chase them through mobs - ideally into a rare or unique, right? Killing the tormented spirit itself usually just drops a few crappy rares but if you chase it into a massive pack of mobs then each one of them has a vastly boosted chance of dropping better loot (when it has a green flame above its head). Of course if there's no mobs around then by all means kill it (trapping it in a corner usually works) but it shouldn't be the goal, typically.
