Player feedback on trading (both sides welcome)
Like already said by many of you, the trade system isn't really good for the moment and i think OP was right about proposing that GGG makes "official" 3rd party, like poe.trade, procurement,...
About Auction House, i agree that it can ruin the market like it did in D3, but it's nice to buy gears/gems/others for a descent price sometimes to improve your character/build :) So one idea is to create an AH just for a weekend every 2 months in permanent leagues and maybe sometimes too in temp. leagues I don't know if this could be a good idea or if it could be doable, that was just an idea... What do you guys think? PS (sorry for the bad english) |

I dislike the trade channels we have now, because its pretty much a time waster. A player has to sit there, repeatedly and monotonically post the same message again and again like a robot. Usually I don't make trade threads on forums, because I occasionally sell items in small quantities and it doesn't feel like its worth investing time in that (not a dedicated trader).
The basic concept how I imagine a better trading system in game: While player is online, he makes a "one time" (create and leave for others to see) trade offer and that order lasts as long as the player remains online (after all, now we cant trade with offline players and i am fine with that). A customer has an in game search tool, where he can quickly type the key words of items he wants and find trade offers which are available at the moment. After the customer has found what he was looking for, he contacts the seller. Everything happens in game. Trade forums could exist in parallel to this system. @Toshis8
Not sure if you read the OP, I know its really long. But I think my suggestion basically covers what you are looking for. I know trade chat sucks, I wish some limit (time or item limit even) was placed on how much and how often you could spam a channel. That being said if you could search for items\currency\ect in game similar to poe.trade now as well as POST them, I think people would enjoy trading much more. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

I don't know if this has already been suggested but I think a trade area for people to set up a shop and to put the item/s they want in there for the currency and amount of their own free choice.
Benefits for this I think can include: lower rate of being scammed as people can see what prices are like in other shops for items and what currency is being used for it also. Uncluttered trade channel as it might still be usable but will be more desirable for people to watch it. Much less confusing for newbies. It also means people will be able to leave their shops up and play or be offline instead of waiting for responses. There is probably some more but that's all I can think of at the moment. What do you guys think? |

I'm sure that this has been said before but still.
I would say that they should add an auction house in the game , just like in diablo 3 , it would be much easier to post your items or buy items , with the poe currency ofc , you just put the specs in like on poe.trade and you find the item in the auction house , easy , if you like it you buy it and the item should come to you via an in-game mail. I mean what's easier and faster than this? The current trade sytem is very bad , you have to spam the trade chat or post your items on the forums and if u wanna buy then search on poe.trade and pray that the guy who has that cheap item will be online... IDK when i can setup a shop with procurement and simply invest a good hour maybe less in pricing each item and then i login and 30 mins later im swimming in Chaos... Id say the trade system works pretty good for the most part!
The only thing i dont like is the fact i have to do all this on outside site and with 3rd party programs! Which isnt even that bad but i REALLY dont like having to put ANY info in a 3rd party program like that! And i would assume if someone at procurment wanted to they could still get in our stuff even though sessionID! But so many people use it with no issues and ive used it for quite some time myself now its pretty safe to say those guys that made it are straight up dudes! My only suggestion is to take from things like Procurment and poe.trade and integrate something like those into the actual game would be nice! But otherwise ATM we do have things that WORK! So i would also assume that is the reason there hasnt been alot done to the trade system because if it isnt broke dont fix it! And the system we have now while i will admit it is in fact Flawed is not Broken! But i do agree if they integrated all these tools i use into the game it would be alot better and i would have better piece of mind because im not using a 3rd party to do these things! But to anyone wanting a better trade experience... i highly recommend Procurement! Just use SessionID to login like i do if you dont like putting in your account info just like me.. i dont like to do that but there is another option for using Procurement! And i or no one else i know has ever had an issue using it! Im sure GGG will revamp the system in due time but for the time being we have to use what is at our disposal! And if i can make a shop and 30 mins after logging in from making that shop i have stacks of Chaos and people messaging me all day for more trades it feels pretty good i make currency and off load all this crap ive found! Its made my mapping better too.... Because Atleast i can buy some maps now! But yeah im quite sure you can ask around and everyone who is using this will tell you works and its pretty damn safe too! And VERY easy to use once its setup! Theres tutorial Videos all over youtube and at the site and on here to help you with setup and once thats done its as simple and drag and drop and the tab out and update to post the stuff and thats it... simply wait for messages from that point and keep farming ofcourse.. your stock will deplete pretty quickly so you need to keep your shop stocked nice a full of items! " Have you tried using procurement\acquisition? The later actually takes only 5 min to setup and its pretty hands free after you set it up (especially if you have multiple stash tabs) As for looking to buying items, its literally a buyers market out there, there should be multiple listings for similar type items for what you are trying to purchases, if you have a specific example where you were looking for XX stats and literally only 1 seller was selling it, I'd like to hear\see what you were trying to do. @demonoz I made this OP before I tried acquisition, its honestly so easy to use, especially for a player like myself with multiple tabs. ![]() https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

" Alright heres my question and since i dont know alot of people who use it ill ask you... what is the major difference in the 2? From my understanding they are pretty damn close to the same but ive heard from both sides saying good things about both and mostly anyone who prefers one over the other is mostly due to preference rather than the differences! I have 70 tabs myself and Procurment allows me to uutilize what tabs i want and what tabs i dont! But yeah ive heard a bit about Acquisition but i started out with Procurement and its always worked well so you know... isnt broke dont fix it! That and i got used to procurement as well and it allows me to make tabs that are priced at whatever as well but i dont really use that because prices vary so much i always have items i dont have a price tab for anyway so i just price thing individually! I also only use about 3-4 tabs instead of 10 that way too! Just takes alittle more time but i can also be more precise with pricing my goods! And BOY do i LOVE the vendor recipe tools! Those things make things so so much faster when doing my GCP and Bobble recipes! \m/ There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation. The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear.
