I think you mistook pornsites with youtube comments. There are some images comparing pornsite comment sections with yotube comment sections.


Wikipedia contributors is a REALLY REALLY REALLY bad example. Believe me Wikipedia is full of dirty laundry some articles aren't even worth reading.
It starts with paid editing, POV bullshit, socks, Whitewashing(you can take your time add both sides of a medal and somebody else will just whitewash your contribution, endless reverting.
Then it turns into wikipedia drama.
Once it's cooking one party will do the same stuff as 4chan kids.

The worst parts of wikipedia are Religion, Politics, Feminism and LBGT related stuff.
Just look at the arbitration committee case page.



You should better use examples like stackoverflow as upper limit.


I wouldn't dare to name a lower limit because people will just try to prove me wrong.

My Santa Claus question was meant to be kinda funny as well as question Scrotie's stance that all lies are wrong. I thought it was kinda funny that after it was deleted it showed up in delayed responses. Honestly though it seemed like a civil discussion so I was somewhat surprised to see all of the posts related to it deleted. I think maybe rushing to intervene while a discussion is still civil might not be necessary.

I did get a warning for another post I replied to. I did deserve to get censored and a warning because of the dismissive way I replied. But what really got me was the poster I was replying to blatantly insulted a member of GGG and I'm the one who gets warned? Anyway, like I said, I deserved it. I know it's got to be a full time job reading all these posts and figuring out which ones to do something about.

Surely "lol" posts should be removed simply because they are pointless, along with most other one-word replies.

I actually believe simple "+1" and "-1" types of posts are valid feedback, despite their lack of attached reasoning. Ideally there would be a "like this post" and/or "dislike this post" feature, but until then I believe such things should be allowed.

I think you probably meant this tongue-in-cheek, but if by "fun" you do mean trolling, shitposts, filling threads with rubbish etc, then I hope these forums continue to not be "fun" permanently. There are many many other places on the web for that kind of thing.

I agree there should be (dis)like feature, but I don't agree with filling threads with "(+/-)1" posts.

GD is more boring since the change, and please do not the MORE modifier which is significantly more than increased...
