3fusings
7fusings :) Mark_GGG 2012 If you put on your full plate mail, and I throw hundreds of toothpicks at you, you'll basically not feel it. If someone catapults a whole tree at you, don't expect the Armour to prevent as much of the damage. Last edited by Auxion#3183 on May 11, 2015, 9:35:09 PM

Fixed it up for you guys. Tl:dr some guy selling almost perfect carcass jack for 20c, guy says its overpriced, seller starts arguing that you can 6l it within 900 fuses.
on 10 May 2015 21:52 I'll sell it to you for 20c Pretty sure you can 6l that with 900 fuse.. it's nearly perfect. on 11 May 2015 09:20 'Pretty sure I can 6L with 900 fusings'. Please do not make me laugh. What if I am unlucky? Why not you compensate me another 900 fusings if I fail to 6L on stream? By the way nobody would buy a carcass jack with 20 chaos. Nice try bro. on 11 May 2015 18:27 I've 6l'd 5 armors.. one took 1200ish one took 750ish two took 500ish one took 250ish the odds are for you ringing in under 900 =/ w/e was just tryna help. and, don't insult me; get a clue perfect armors go for 10+ exalt unsocketed, near perfect is fine for 20c ;) again, was just tryna help.. you're rude :( on 11 May 2015 14:38 I dont see how I have been rude by being blatant. I am sorry if I did sound so. I will surely buy your carcass jack then; if I get compensated another 900 fusings if I fail. By the way, my friends have 6Led armors as well one took 5000 one took 3000 one took 120 (just like you) I took 2000 Thank you for your help once again. |

Scamming and Ripping people off is morally wrong yes but they ARE tolerated in Path of Exile.
Basically to be more blunt using irl example It's whether or not if you will steal/scam/rob someone out of their cash when the Constitution (or w/e the highest law is in your country) states "doing so is ok" and only thing cops could do to you is telling you stuff like "shame on you for stealing from someone else, I wish you have a very terrible day" And just look at the news... people commit all kinds of criminal acts even when they CAN be punished... what you think will happen if these crimes are not punishable and is legal in every way? Scamming and Ripping off will always and forever be part of PoE society unless GGG officially change their stance on these matter that is. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change. Welcome to PoE. Last edited by Pewzor#2343 on May 11, 2015, 10:01:46 PM

" You couldn't be more wrong. First of all, scamming and "ripping people off" are not the same thing. 1) A scam is when someone pays for something and they do not get what they paid for. 2) Ripping someone off/being ripped off occurs when someone overcharges/overpays for something by a significant margin. I don't believe that GGG tolerates the first, so don't imply that they do and condone such acts. As for the second, it is up to both the buyer AND the seller to agree to a price and if the buyer isn't educated on market prices ahead of time, then they are EQUALLY at fault. I don't agree with ripping people off, however prices are arbitrary as there are no set prices, therefore how do you regulate people that capitalize on other people's ignorance? People need to do a little research if they plan to buy a rather expensive item. It's not rocket science. I still don't get it. :( What does this linking thing has to do with anything else? The pricing? So confusing.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. | |
" Dude 1 is trading a perfect non-6L Carcass Jack, he considers it's worth more than a non-perfect one, because the difference between a 6L random and a 6L perfect is higher than the difference he is charging. Dude 2 considers that, due to the risk of messing up the linking, the increased value of the Carcass Jack is illegitimate. Both think the other is trying to rip them off, when they are simply both trying to get what they consider decent trades from the other one. I myself was recently treated like the worst possible scum for considering that buying an Item Quantity gem at 45 chaos wasn't a rip off. |

i couldnt imagine this scenario affecting me long enough that i would write up a multi-paragraph thread for it. I would consider this a non-event.
