Update on Deterministic Lockstep

/Clap, congrats.
This makes me curious - what does diablo 3 use?

when I think about D3, I remember that desync is rare - but lag definatly alters game play, like when latency is around 220+ then skills like Vault become extremely unreliable, or monsters often dont render till you turn a corner and are actually in the same room, so when latency is bad, you can be attacked by mobs that arent even on the screen yet.

that kinda sounds like lockstep.
just wondering - cause I think alot of us are familiar with D3, and want some idea what it feels like, cause this update is still a long way away.
Are there any known issues with Deterministic Lockstep? Looking forward to testing out many melee builds.
I wonder if Hillock-Senpai will notice me when I go to town??
this will be a wipe on next Friday then, right?

We look forward to your feedback next Friday!

Not gonna lie... i had to equip a new pair of pants after reading that
What's considered low latency? I'm usually at 50-60 ping.

GooberM: "How does that not warrant a good ol' stabby-stabby?"

They said you can probably enjoy the new system without many problems if ping <100 I think.

When are you gonna add servers to south america?
Latency here doesn't get better than 170 ms.
The day has come.
