Chris actually warned about the same thing. If you choose a very rare drop the divination card will have a equal rarity.
- Grants a random league-specific unique (I'm assuming that's okay since one of the example cards is L-S).

- Grants a stack of Vaal Orbs

- Grants a Wisdom Scrap (lolololol)

- grants 100 random cards (with something like 200 needed for the set)

- any high-end valuable unique with over 200 needed. This is important as it allows players without much liquidity to invest in something that doesn't decrease in value.

Oh... I really hope they don't make any sets that require more than 20 or so cards...
I hate in Marvel heroes when I have stacks of 100's or 1000's to turn in for items.
Just raise the rarity and keep the numbers low please.

I think GGG should allow 3 things on these rewards:
-To be able create card with item reward WITH AN APPLIED MICROTRANSACTION!
So like : Corrupred rare helm with Headless MTX applied.
(and you won't be able to reclaim the MTX from these)

-To make cards rewarding not only for just 1 item, instead 2-3 max!. As creating a card for an 1-chaos-worth item is pointless, but instead this way there could be card giving a little item set : Like 3 unique items perfect for lvl20 leveling.
Like : Ice set reward: Shiversting + Hrimsorrow + Tasalio's Sign

-Little bit altered unique items, only acquirable through cards!.
Like : Quecholli, based off a Karui Maul, instead of a lvl22 Spiked Maul
Like : Nycta's Lantern with 4 sockets!
D3 treasure goblins's escape portal is an entrance to Wraeclast

What is the purpose of these cards then?
I thought cards were a way to purposefully target items in the game. Not so much a short-cut as a device to combat poor RNG.
I understand that Empower is a gem, not an item, but it's easy to go an entire league without dropping one. It's also very, very hard to get one to level 4 on your own. A card to target this would be welcome for many.


I would bet everything that the rarity of that card would piss everyone off. It would need to encompass the time to level a level 3 empower AND the chances that it would corrupt to level 4. Being able to target it does not necessarily mean you'll circumvent the work. It just has a more deterministic outcome -- kind of like the 6-Link Vorici cost.

Imagine a card that drops with a T2 like rarity and has something like 1/25 on it. How angry would you be?

What about giving a rare Staff with phys mods and an Eternal Orb Imprint. The imprint can be used on the staff and it makes it into a Staff with caster mods.

Make a 100ilvl card, that gives you a high ilvl white item. Amazing craft material, but hopefully not too hard to obtain.
I like the idea of getting a random T1 unique but its corrupted. Keeps some RNG while giving you the chance to get a game changing item.

Or having a random 5L or 6L corrupted item would be fun too.
