Do you guys really enjoy it?

At this point it should be crystal clear that the game encourages re-rolling.

Re-rolling, temp leagues, and embracing the above fact is a cure all for a majority of the complaints I see about the current state of the game.

Of course one can still fully enjoy the game if re-rolling and temp leagues dont appeal to you, you simply have to take your head out of the ass that is the prevailing meta.

Create goals and challenges for yourself, role play a bit if applicable, take an active role in your experience rather than a reactionary passive one.

Rerolling only changes the basic gameplay so much. Probably the most fun build I've had lately is when Arc was overbuffed, making a totem build rather viable for a time. I could drop a totem, quaff a mana flask, and just keep dropping totems for 15+ seconds without worries about the curses or running out of mana. Was a fun little interaction, and could kinda kill stuff okay, though that was thanks to Arc being wicked enough to overpower totems general crappiness. Those kind of interactions seem to get 'balanced' away far too often.
No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

Don't you guys get bored of spamming the same skill again and again? Seems like the most exciting part of the gameplay is having your build come together but after that it's just one skill all the way(mostly)

Not at all. That's my goal in every league to make a build that needs only one-two clicks to clear the whole screen using one skill. Perfectly if you don't need to click at all (RF for example). It's funny as hell!

I am pretty sure that you are the one that creates your build. If you don't want to 1 click spam here are some examples to get you started:

Pick up EE and use 2 skills with a staff

Just use multiple skills. Maybe no auto curse and instead manually curse?

Utilize your weapon swap and get really crazy

Could manually Enduring Cry and Immortal Call or drop the CWDT setup and take crazy to another level

2 Birds with 1 Stone how about you do 1 elemental and 1 physical skill. You will have to take the extra 2 seconds to read "physical" or "elemental" reflect but I am sure no one will make fun of your clear speed.

Hope this helps

If you adjust your expectations, you can actually have a lot of fun with the game in interesting ways. Charan has this one down.

What works in 66 maps, won't work in 78 maps and sometimes it can be refreshing to just build a character that surely won't work out in high end maps, but instead just gets to low ones and works out there. It allows you to make some really bizarre stuff. I know the min/maxers in you might balk at such an idea, but it can be a fun diversion from the normal routine. That said, it is also possible to have a more 'diverse'(Not really the right word...) build who can tear up 78s, but for a lot of people why would they do that when they can just click 1 skill? People generally prefer the path of least resistance.

-EDIT-

Also what Charan said.

I find the actual gameplay to be one of PoE's biggest weaknesses. There are a lot of great concepts, but they didn't all gel to create good gameplay. Great theorycraft, though. I'd say the link concept is a great failing here. One, possibly 2 5-6L per char kinda limits the potential of multiple skill usage. Automatic conditional cast gems just further exasperated this.

Indeed this, so called innovative link concept actually pretty much limit you to maxing one/two skills. Plus a lot of sockets "wasted" by auras/heralds (with reduced mana - which is additional socket), CWDT is pretty mandatory, some movement skill with faster casting / faster attack and you basically left with no sockets.

As a solution, I think every char should have "underwear simple robe" (tm), say at lvl 1 it 2L and at lvl 95 its 6L :P So you basically gonna have "build in 6l" at lvl 95 and on top of that you can use normal chest.

PS: also it will make leveling 1-70 more comfortable.

I like this idea... this or adding 3 sockets to belts and adding a socket to amulets and making them always have the socket, rings too.
Well hello Mister Fancypants. Well, I've got news for you pal, you ain't leadin' but two things right now: Jack and shit... and Jack left town.

Problem is that "players" set two week goals and expect themselves to be entertained for months. They don't play. They win. Then they bitch that the game wasn't fun.

Learn to play. This isn't a job. This isn't life. It's a game.

Lego is boring. I mean, there's basically only one way to attach blocks together... right?

Kids today don't play. They turn these games into substitutes for real work or real life. Grinds my gears.
