How to learn trading as a beginner?

As a relatively new player I don't really have an idea how to trade with other players. What I mean by that is that I don't know how to determine how much an item is worth. How to I not get ripped off? Thx

the more you trade the better you will get at it. Observe other prices, watch trade chat (with a grain of salt) check forum prices using poe.trade

For currency values take a look at the noticeboard. As a rule of thumb the actual currency ratios are slightly above what people are buying for and slightly below what people are selling for.
For items use poe.trade, after finding the type of item you are looking for sort by buyout price and then subtract ~10% from the lowest priced item. That is a good gauge of value both for buying and selling. The reason being that items still listed are items that haven't already sold. Just make a shop and jump right in. Whatever margin you lose do to naivety is the cost of your education. This works irl as well. If you want to start a business, just start a business. Don't go to school for business. You go to school to learn how to work for someone else.

Be aware that the rich wont let you get rich easy or they would have to share the riches with you which they wont. So be ready to be screwed over and ripped off big time over and over.

The best way, in my opinion, would be to join a quality guild. A large group of experienced traders will help you to not get outright ripped off while you learn.
