Grim Dawn or Path of Exile?

Yay! I can mod Grim Yawn. Unlike that stupid POE. FU Chris! (just kidding Chris, You know I love you!)

*mods Grim Yawn to get OPestest items*

Yawns after playing Grim Yawn for 5 minutes.

(As also happened to countless nubz who modded TQ)

Self restraint is a thing. Sure if you want to cheat/mod/hack the game you can do that if you find it enjoyable.

However people can always mod the game to create insane difficulties or add completely new content like Soul Vizier.

For the countless "nubz" who made it easy to play TQ there are far more who enjoyed the game as it is and also tried out the multiple mods for the game.

Just because you can cheat in GD doesn't mean you can't do the same in PoE though in different ways.

Let's not forget that mods are not just for cheating.

I endorse the Prophesy of Pendor mod for Mount & Blade Warband as the or to your PoE time.
We tested it extensively
ITT people bashing a game that's incomplete and in early access stage.

Also, the upcoming expansions + Devotion and Faction Sytem will make Grim Dawn as awesome as TQ, maybe even more.
It is really difficult to compare these two games, when both games caters to two different crowds.

If you are the type that wants to have fun, Grim Dawn and Path of Exile is the right game for you.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

Didn't even read the thread.

Grim dawn.
Nope, OP, i'd rather play both than give in to such narrow minded nonsense. And so should everyone else who likes ARPGs.

Just stay away from D3 - not because of the game (it's actually very good despite all the haters), but because Blizzard doesn't deserve support anymore. This holds also true for every single game EA and Ubisoft produce.

Well the game on release was terrible but sure, right now it is definitely better then what it used to be.

Blizzard definitely isn't that great of a company. A lot of the games they come up with are just other games that already came out before - just with the Blizzard stamp of approval followed by the vast amount of fans ready to gobble up anything the bowels of Blizzard spews forth into existence.

SC2 is like some romantic soap opera whereas SC1 was far better when it comes to having an overall story - and not just the whole Raynor/Kerrigan love interest.

D3 is pretty much a mockery of D1/D2 though Blizzard managed to apply some duct tape when RoS came out. I would still say that it isn't a great came because it lacks the rpg elements when it comes to choice and the itemization is still pretty bad. Dialogue/story is cheesy and lame - hoped that would change with RoS but it didn't.

Hearthstone = other card games that came out before. Just Blizzard cashing in.

Heroes of the Storm = other moba games that came out before. Just Blizzard cashing in.

Though I enjoyed the warcraft rts series I can't comment on WoW as I haven't touched that game at all.

Up and coming Overwatch = Team Fortress 2 / moba so again... Just Blizzard cashing in.

Project Titan has fallen and Ghost has long disappeared so it really seems that rehashing games is all Blizzard is good at. No creative bone left to make something new and exciting as the fans will be happy with anything in the end.

Should hold PoE to the same standard.
No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

]Skill gems are the same thing as Elder Scroll's Morrowind system, skills level the more you kill

that is just false - theyre very different

morrowind system was the more you use a skill, the more it levels

it wasnt a terribly smart system either- some people would go AFK for hours and leave the character jumping- theyd come back to a metacharacter who could jump third of the world in 3 steps

if poe gem system functioned like morrowind, the only gems youd ever level is your main skill+supports + movement gems

not to mention, morrowind didnt have support skills that made main skills more powerful at expense of mana. the whole skill gem + socket on gear is pretty damn new idea. many games, especially arpgs had sockets, many games had gems- but no arpgs combined sockets gems and gear the way poe did.
