I really think mods shouldn't interfere with this. Scams are a part of the game. If you trust someone with your item and he steals it, it's entirely your fault for trusting him in the first place. Should mods interfere, they should do it just like a regular player would, with the possibility of stealing it without any repercussions (just like any other player).

This whole issue does, for me, highlight the duties and limits of being a player moderator. There will always be the tension of the slash between player/moderator. So we are players and we are moderators. We are trusted. Clearly.

And that's fine. GGG chose us and trusts us; why shouldn't players?

But trust us to do what? And with what powers are we trusted?

...Anyway, I'm glad the others are okay with it. :)

mods are players too... but unlike regular players they have standards they need to uphold and reputations to maintain in the eyes of GGG.

I would much rather a mod help me in this matter than someone I do not know. What about you naruto?

or am I wrong? (<-- this question is to a moderator)

No, you're right.

I think this is the key thing. If you have to ask someone to help you (which is reasonable), then asking a mod adds a level of security. It's not a guarantee, of course, but just an extra precaution.

And of course mods can always say no. There's no obligation for them to help in this manner- as far as I know, it's not one of their required duties. ;)
I'm not a n00b- I'm a Online Game Floor Examination Expert.
It's absolutely not, and I said 'no' purely for safety reasons. Anyway, starting to repeat myself here. :)

I'm sure it will all go smooth as hot butter. :)

I disagree here. Moderators are just players who can mute others and remove forum posts. If a mod decides to scam someone else, he shouldn't lose his mod powers. He could be the greatest mod ever and still be a scammer. The only reason a mod should have his powers revoked is if he abuses said powers.
Implement /players x already
Your free to do what you want, but I think the moderators shouldnt get involved. Games supposed to be hardcore right? well scams are a risk. Best thing is to get your items worth in orbs in trade from the person wanting to mirror, then when they give your item back, you return the orbs. That way if someone bails or gets disconnected or whatever, at least your compensated if the guy make off with your armor and the mirror.

Don't know if you're still looking for someone. But my IGN is Slurms. Well known default ladder player. I would happy to assist you.

Personally, I don't think this is a mods business. But I do understand why you would ask. I do currently play with a mod, and he may be willing to help if need be.

Cheers.

you can trust slurms (imho), as he stated, he is very well known and has been around for quite a while (have nothing negative to say about him) if you don't want to get a mod involved.
