Moderator asked for assissting to Kalandra Mirroring

The only way I can think of for the safest mirroring is to use a mod as an intermediary. The traders give the item to be mirrored and the mirror to the mod, the mod mirrors the item, and gives the mirrored item back to the one with the mirror and the original item back to the original owner. That would probably be the safest way since mods actually have a reputation to be concerned about.

I have no issue acting as the intermediary because it's a service that I would like if I were in a similar position.

Absolutely awesome of you Septile. When I had my mirror (in CB) I lucked out and was pointed to the right person to help me. But in OB with so many new players... i wouldn't know what to do! To the OP: well done creating this thread, just proves it never hurts to ask :)

Eh, no worries. I just know that I'm effectively 'just another player' with some very slight forum and chat responsibilities. I don't know that this extends as far as what the OP is asking, but I'm glad Septile is willing to do it. He's a much more experienced, established moderator than I. :)

They would take one guy's cash, and the other guy's ingame item, and once both are recieved, give them to the new owners. It's called a 'trusted third party' or an 'escrow deal'.

It is a fairly common way for two parties who do not trust each other to trade securely through a third party they both trust.

However, currently there is no way of knowing who in the community can act as a trusted third party.

Just because you do not officially have the authority to act in this way, that is to say no-one from GGG appointed you to act as a trusted third party does not mean you cannot provide this service (for a price, naturally, no free lunches).

Your status as a forum moderator and known member of the community (multi-diamond and all that) does make you more trustworthy. A fact you should feel free to abuse, of course.
Wraeklast is a cold and unforgiving place.

But remember, this is Wraeclast, so it's ok to steal, even for moderators. "Cut-throat environment" as the developers name it :P

Oh I'd do it. I wouldn't steal some dumb mirror or item to be mirrored.
