" Not to mention the staff has a base damage of 19-32, with facebreakers you depend on the physical damage from gear (which currently isn't where it should be imo, with rings being unable to roll the top 3 tiers of physical damage, only amulets can) I'm assuming Increased Weapon Physical Damage applies to all physical damage done with the weapon much like Weapon Elemental Damage. Quick calculations show that it could do a devastating amount of damage.... Also, you can use Weapon elemental damage with the staff, you can't with facebreakers. plus you can have 5-6 link on the staff , so its far superior then facebreaker , i guess astramentis + deshret's vise could fit the build aswell

Not sure if this was already asked, but, will the simple robe unique drop from maps? Or are they act 1 exclusive items just like shabby jerkins...

as far as pillar of the caged god goes, is anyone else looking at an upgrade for brightbeak ele hit builds? just start stacking dex for ias, and you have one hell of a quick staff to throw out some major beatings.......

" I think it's the best at looking valuable in theory, but the worst at being valuable in practice. edit: IMO it's a decent piece of theorycrafter gear. Not every unique has to be "endgame viable".
Not every unique has to have an obvious use at the time it's released. This newest batch of uniques is probably the most flavorful yet. Build-wise: - Monkey King Bar looks like it will start its own build a la Facebreakers. The aoe portion is likewise interesting for other builds. - +1 frenzy charge boots will definitely see some niche use (frenzy archer with acrobatics gets the most benefit). All charge-affecting gear is also interesting for discharge (and other things that use charges now and in the future). - The chill duration armor doesn't strike me as particularly useful, but it's a midgame armor and there will likely be some cool chill effects in the future that will indirectly buff this armor. Cannot be chilled is hard to come by, so might see PvP use from that. - Lastly, Tabula Rasa is good for setting a floor cost on 6Ls, low level dueling, and for making leveling much easier (just swap and change out skills and supports as you go, no chromatics, jewelers, or looking through the shops for 4L upgrades). |
