Call Kripparrian to Come Back to PoE When the Act IV Expansion Get Released

He said before last patch that he was probably too busy to play PoE.

However he gave a strong recommendation of the game and how fond he is of it. It's just that his schedule didn't allow him to play and he said PoE is not a game you can just play in little bits here and there, you need to devote time to it.

Seems like a solid on his part.

You won't see Kripp back in Poe, if you do it will be a very brief flying visit.

It's a game he loves, but it's a game that is impossible to satisfy him in anything other than short races.

Why?

I saw it and pointed it out back when Kripp was in full flow in PoE, the signs were there and putting some thought into exactly why he was unsettled revealed the picture perfectly.

Kripp's motto : Live To Play -- Play To Win -- As Much As Possible -- As Hardcore As Possible.

First of all remember Kripp in D3 after the world first Diablo Inferno HC? If not, here's what happened.
He played solo or 2 man only and played completely self found.

Kripp is a competitive player, PoE is a competitive game, for Kripp to play PoE he has to play competitively.

In a game such as PoE where trading and grouping are so strong, not using both to their full advantage is not competing at your most hardcore.

This is where the picture begins to take shape.

PoE is a game where trading is an absolute necessity to ladder competing in a new league, hell trading IS PoE ladder competing, secondly is the facerolling that grouping provides.

Yet, the only restrictions on trade are those of inconvenience. No bound items, no non-tradeable bases or slots, no find only items, no limits, at all, other than the absence of an easy-for-all AH type system, while third parties such as poe.trade and procurement do a good job at trying to create a pseudo AH, trading parties are still required to 'meet'.

Kripp's status, following, fame gave him far too much advantage. When anything and everything he picked up is valuable to someone and liquidated immediately and when your potential loot pickings consist of what everyone else picks up, being able to bypass the only limiting factor GGG thought adequate (and Chris has gone on record saying trading should not be easy) through your popularity alone, is MASSIVE.

So here's Kripp, Live To Play -- Play To Win -- As Much As Possible -- As Hardcore As Possible ; in a situation where he could not play to his motto.

By playing as Hardcore as Possible as Much as Possible, competitively, with his status, in groups, sure he could win, but pretty damned well too easily.

To play PoE 'hardcore' was to steamroll it and if he took the approach he finally did in D3 (which he'd tell you was the only way he could get fun and challenge) it would be far from competitive.

I'm sure Kripp knows this, too.

Edit: Just in case it looked like I was saying Kripp doesn't like trading, I'm not. He does. What I'm saying is just like in D3 where trading was too easy (why Kripp went self found) at least with Kripp's status, that's just how it is in PoE, too.

Casually casual.

Don't forget to drink your milk 👌
The game goes fine without him, so lets continue like that. Who cares about a celebrity.

"Fine" in the current state of Path of Exile is a relative and subjective concept, if I'm allowed to say.

since everyone on global seem to be insanely hateful when diablo 3 is mentioned for some odd ass reason.

Is that supposed to be a bad joke? Because D3 sure was. I guess that after having played Diablo 2 for 12 years, the utter contempt I feel for that disgrace of a successor to one of the greatest games of all time merits resentment. So I guess that if you'd consider that "some odd ass reason", then so be it.
Still in the alpha stage, but at least build diversity isn't an issue: https://wolcengame.com/home/
Pretty sure a pert of his soul dies every time he boots up D3, but I am not so sure he only plays Hearthstone because of $$.

That Kripp died like a year ago.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
