" Still bitter as fuck :3 GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" This is actually factually incorrect, and a bit annoying at how incorrect it is. Kripp came to play POE because the turbonerds who were DDoSing the games he was playing completely took down the Hearthstone servers. In fact, they hit Blizzard (and battle.net) so hard, it took down quite a lot of WoW servers as well. Lots of WoW players were fairly mad that somebody who didn't even play the same game as them were getting their gameplay interupted. The same guys also DDoS'd Sony, Valve, and Riot (League of Legends). It's not like GGG is any better or worse than anyone else at deflecting large scale attacks. If somebody is determined enough to interrupt your shit, they'll find a way to do so. Kripp playing POE won't make it any more or less likely, and GGG isn't any more or less likely to be able to deal with it. Last edited by Glowerss#7575 on Feb 15, 2015, 1:11:02 PM

I personally disagree with the thought that someone should not play a game because he would bring hackers to it. Is not an objective judgement, in my opinion.

There is one thing i like about kripp and that's his way to explain complex systems in a very simple and elegant mater so it becomes understandable for a newbie to a certain degree.
But he did make some error's in observations, like any person would in his position. Still a valuable data-base of informative video's for new players i think. Don't mind if he came back or stayed away really, he did his part and contributed to the community in a very positive way. Kripp was actually good theorycrafter, something we have a few currently. Maybe thx to idiotic balance changes or maybe ppl fed up with the bullshit.
Also on PoE health - not all but redditers know in prime time (temp leagues start) there was 100k people playin. Now its probably less then 50k. Divide it by time zones and fact people are not f* nolifes should place the bar at 10k concurrent players NOW. Its still pretty good. " reaching level 100 is neither revolutionary nor interesting nor important. making original build- not true, hes made original builds teaching on enlightening on game breaking mechanic- not true, he did that in his videos zero clue on how to kill atziri or aboxoth (sic)- um how would he know about content that came out after he left the game ? sounds like someone is drowning in sodium Last edited by grepman#2451 on Feb 17, 2015, 1:21:20 AM

Some people are so nostalgia-addicts. Last time Kripp played this game (I think 1 or 2 days when beta was out) it was straight up disappointing. The only positive t hing was that Chris himself was talkign to him.
Seriously guys, stop being blinded by nostalgia. Kripp is just one guy, one that represents more like a robot han anything else. Don't get me wrong, I used to watch him too, but then I discovered other streamers. Streamers that provided entertainment and a chat that wasn't full of Hodor. |
