If SFL is about a good spot on the ladder i think it matters quite a bit that you got more orbs and items than someone else. And i take it this SFL thing is about a perma SFL which would make botting even worse than on a temp league.

SFL as anti hax argument and a "clean" ladder doesnt fly. Botters ruin it regardless of trading or no trading. Increased drop rates? Why? SF play with current drop rates is fine why should they be raised? Would it be with party option or would there be demand for followers?

If we count all you posts on this subject, Dirk, we will be counting a while. Ergo, you've spent hours debating this subject. It seems like it means a lot to you that a SFL wont see the light of day.

Why is that? Will a SF hurt you? Will it hurt the game? No. MORE players will play.

So what's your reason. Why are YOU against it?

Im not against it, i wish you get your SFL and are happy with it. :)

Would it be easier to have a SFLadder? So let's have it.
I'm not too sure, however, that it is easier to implement this than making a new league. If it is, I'm all for it.

Botters and SFL:
How would that work? Bots would hoard orbs and fill the stash with them and then the account would be sold. How would the bot achieve this? And with no trading, what do you do with stash tabs full of alts, transmutes and some alchs and other lower level orbs, when you can't buy exalts or gear with them?

The amount of posts you make in SFL threads is unhealthy.

So is the amount of threads people make about SFL, your point? I would love a SFL, would probably spent a lot of time playing in one. :)

They already did a SFL temp league thing and no one wanted it, so why should they add something for just a few people that dont want to play D3 and that cant get their hands off trade chat? Seriously, get your shit together and just dont trade. Its like getting just not laid when you go out, if you dont want it, dont do it.

I dont know, like, show up and proof you want it perhaps? Oh wait, you just cry and beg even though its like asking mommy to give you a candy bar. News flash: Sometimes if mommy says no it means no, therefore, no SFL, deal with it. Not needed either because its already in the game! Just dont trade plain and simple.

Youre wrong. GGGs job is to make the game they want people to play. Dont like the game GGG makes, dont play it. Same rights for everyone really, dont like D3, dont play, dont like COD, dont play, the list goes on. Want a SFL? Find a game that has self found. Its not about effects, GGG would make a lot of money if their goal for POE was to be SFL.

DirkAustin wrote:

No, because i know GGG wont do this, if the OP and the few SFL proponents really think GGG will do this they are [removed].

I am interested in a SFL and I would be willing to help funding it if necessary.

So far this is just another SFL thread to replace the old one. I see no evidence of an actual kickstarter other than a few people saying they'd contribute $x. Nobody is even tracking the pledges, which amount to a pittance.

I read the whole thread and need to pour bleach in my eyes.

I have three people who have promised to contribute something.
One person who has promised to contribute "big money"
One person for 5,000
One person for 500
One person for 300
One person for 100

My math says the actual dollar amounts should pay for 7% of one developer. Looks like an astounding success so far.

Assumptions: These are USD which are converted to NZD. Used median software developer salary for the area and converted to Full Time Equivalent.

Edited to include post above.

Well, this is all fine and dandy but its hypothetical money, not real money. If you ask someone what they do with 10 million dollars they say "i donate a lot of it to a poor country", if you really gave em 10 million dollars they would buy themselves an island a big house and car and boat and trophy wife/husband.

You gotta make this kickstarter a reality or its just what people say about traders around here, a scam.

Please do this, i cant wait to play in a SFL.
It'd be nice to have anyone who's got any say in the development of PoE come here and say that if a successful KS was started and raised at least $x they'd implement it.
The way it is now, what happens if people really pledged $xk and we'd still not get a SFL?
I don't know KS's terms of service, and if they get any money and if they do, if only in case of a successful campaign. I also don't know if you CAN make a KS without having the consent of the developers.

Is this really the route we wanna take, though?

I doubt that GGG would even make such an offer, as it would only come off as "we could do this without the funds, but we'll take your money anyway."
