Message me or IGN. Ichi_da_killer

As long as the stats are decent ;-) I currently have

I would really appreciat to see if an MOD or DEV can answer this question,

I eventually made a 6 linked evasion armor

Spoiler

ive used already more then 200+ Chromatics to try and make RRRRGG - ive literaly bounced against a wall.

The highest or closest I could get is RRRGGG.

Im just wondering is it even possible to get RRRRGG.

Acctually I cant even imagine why not cause whats the point in taking Iron Reflexes and having to be stuck with not being able to have the right amount of RED socket on a armor you want.

I really hope an MOD or DEV can confirm or deny if this is possible or not.

Thanks

All color combos are possible, but RRRRGG on a pure evasion is very unlikely. If the weighting is say 70%/15%/15% for G/R/B, then your odds of RRRRGG is (6choose4)*.15^4*.7^2= .00372. Your expected number of chromatics to reach that is then 1/p = 268. Also the exact odds of each socket color are not known, so it could be higher or lower, but its still a lot.

I have a chestpiece on softcore that was meant for a true Hybrid Class (170 dex, 170 int, 170 strength. Via weapon Switching made use of melee and spell combat). I was greatly saddened to see that I can -never- get a RRBBGG set of sockets. It's very difficult to get your hands on, so difficult in fact that attempting to play hybrids does not work; even trying to hybrid just 2 stats tends to fail.

-never- simply isnt true. You need about as many chromatics to get that combo as you would fusing to hit a 6 link, a few hundred. And chromatics are a lot cheaper. I'm not saying that the current method or randomization is best, but let's not make claims which arent true.

Let's be clear. 300-500 chromatics to roll a combination that will be sub-par at best isn't worth the price. By the time I've farmed 3-5 hundred of those orbs, I'll have picked up a lot of gear that works for a pure dex, strength, or int build, and will have moved on. I know this is true because it -already happened-. I saw that doing something fun and different (and no, not potentially gamebreaking) was far more difficult then doing something fun, and tried and tested (and in fact game-breaking). It kills build diversity to have hybrid combo's made difficult to pull off due to socket bias, while stronger combinations, like 4 blue and 1 green, or 4 green and 1 blue, are very easy to pull off.
I would say go for RRGGG rather than RRRGG because getting 3 colours on a non evasion armour will be too low a chance, unless its a drop, if you want RRRGG you are better off trying that on an evasion/armour armour :P str/dex requirements on it.
