Impossible to get RRRGG on a pure evasion armor?

I could have sworn on a solid piece it was a 75% chance to roll a socket of that color. There is some form of priority for it, I forgot what it was someone posted before.

Also, you can't get

GGGGG
and
GGGGG back to back, it will change the color of at least one socket every time.

If it is 75% or let's say 80% for simplicity, then

p(rrrgg)=0.1³*0.8²*10
=0.64%
-> you need 156 orbs.

If it's 60%
=2,88%
->34,7 orbs

You're still calculating for one given order of the sequence though.

RRRGG is equal to RGRGR for all intents and purposes.

no.
*10
<-
RRRGG
....
GGRRR

there should be 10 possibilites.

Yes so what does this mean? It means that the game battles diversity. If you want diversity you have to spend a lot more time and currency and effort than someone who doesn't.
This is supposed to be good?

Wrong conclusion, the game doesn't battle diversity, it battles randomness.

Actually we had "unbound" socket colours in cbt for a long time, and we would see threads like "it's ridiculous when i spend 100 chroms and just wont get a full green socket set". So this was changed to give you more chance to get green sockets in dex gear, etc.

It also goes against these cheap maths you guys are doing, since you are not considering the influence formula to keep the sockets at the stat type of the equipment.

If i remember math class corectly then it is:

either
(5)
(2)
or
(5)
(3)
=10

or you can count them
GRRRG
RGRRG
RRGRG
RRRGG
-----
GRRGR
RGRGR
RRGGR
-----
GGRRR
GRGRR
RGGRR

Ok I can follow that.

Still thought you should be doing 0.2^3 instead of 0.1^3. Doing 0.1^3 assumes that the socket being red is half as likely as it being blue.

It is just as likely to be blue as red.

I originally did but then i realized that it's probably rarer

with

p(G)=60%
p(R)=20%
p(B)=20%

p(rrrgg)=2,88%
->34,7 orbs

however i doubt it'S that common.

I think that "non-native" colors on gear (i.e Red/blue on pure dex) aren't penalized, the probability for a "native color" is just raised way up.

I got a our armor 5l at the moment that is gggrr..but could easily roll what u want easier then that evasion.
Ill trade ya if its decent level
