Do you guys ever get tired of spamming one or two skills?
I think the problem is really how you're approaching it. There's plenty of builds where you have to use the whole skill bar. Even on my current reave build, i currently have my whole bar filled with different skills(with move only for left click) and I've got to actually replace some skills like auras and golem once I've casted them. You should just really look at the available utility skills and perhaps you'll find some of them useful for your build. Even if not, that's not too bad in my opinion, since you're making a choice of how you're going to build and play your character, which is IMO one of the coolest aspects of the game.
To name a few builds where you for sure have to use pretty much the whole bar that come to mind would be: summoner, an SRSer or an elemental trapper. Also, if you're a party player, you can choose to make an utility char that boosts the clear speed of others or provide different type of utility with a bunch of utility skills used(aurabot, multicurser, dedicated magic finder) Those are a few that come to mind that use a pretty big variety of skills. Best of luck! Last edited by ColdCurve#0867 on Jul 15, 2015, 8:24:21 PM

" I agree. basically you dont *have* to use a bunch of skills if you dont want to, and most poe players are about simplicity and efficiency. but if you want you can do a lot of stuff imo. like you can micromanage warcries (ie rallying cry + enduring cry), move skills, etc |

2.0 certainly tried to encourage the use of more utility skills, and if you play HC and wanna survive before you hit that GG gear phase, I think it succeeded in making the use of those skills feel rewarding.
In the end, like most things in the game, it comes down to player choice, its up to you to find interesting synergies and build around them. I always make a point of including an extra little gimmick in every build I make these days, even if it is not 100% efficient. Personally I'd suggest a Summoner, I fell in love with the playstyle during Beta precisely because there is a cycling of skills and an attention required to positioning of your summons, your position and the mob types, more micro etc. Noblesse oblige

" How about you try to play HC leagues when they are actually hard and try to hold down one button and see how far that gets you? Even Spin to Win Cyclone builds have to occasionally Enduring Cry/Immortal Call or Leapslam out when they are in danger. And most builds in D3 require like no button pressing outside of defensive situations. The Wizard is one of the lone exceptions. Monk for the longest time was literally hold lmb the entire time. |

" Voila. Simple reasoning. It might not be the most "efficient" (in terms of grinding fat loot as fast as possible) with the current set of rules but no one is really holding anyone back to use more skills if you want to get more out of the game yourself. Heart of Purity

I thought I already made a thread about this issue.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

" Let's compare your Witch to mine: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Aim_Deep/characters https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/RogueMage/characters Both of them use Lightning Warp, but that's just to get around and lay down curses. Otherwise, they're completely different builds. You've got two 6-links, one with LW, the other with Ice Nova. Then you have three 4-links, with Ice Golem, auras, and CwDT. Nothing wrong with that, but it seems like a build explicitly designed to spam just one thing. My witch has one 5-link, three 4-links and two 3-links. However, two of the 4L's have built-in skills, so I actually have three 5-links. She's an EE trapper with Fire Trap and a triple Cold Snap Trap. When cornered, she has Lightning Warp and Flame Surge on her 5L chest. Auras and CwDT take up the rest. Mine isn't an Atziri runner, it's a level-80 build made for soloing mid-range maps. Elemental curse warping, laying down two types of traps and burning down bosses can be a bit hectic, but boring it's not. I haven't seen your build in action, so I'm not claiming mine is better, but if you're tired of the same old shit there are other options. |

i got bored because end game required so much time and effort to improve your build and there is nothing else to move forward to except start all over again with new char.
Everything get so expensive or hard to get. like farm farm farm farm farm or grind grind grind at some point i thought "wth im doing?" if you are like this, just quit and come back when thnigs get better :) kinda work. |
