Desync is not a feature, and shouldn't be treated as one. It's completely unacceptable.

I'm sorry, but after a couple hundred hours, this problem that has been in the game since beta from what I've heard has made me sick of this game. GGG has lost a paying customer with their lack of support towards the technical issues that plague the ENTIRE community, not just a small portion of players that have slow internet. The ENTIRE playerbase has this problem and it's ignored by GGG because it's "not worth fixing?" That's an unacceptable attitude for a dev to take.

I'm not a big time streamer, I'm not some influential trader with the power and currency base to sway the economy. I'm just some guy who likes the game, who likes playing it, but is so frustrated that the by FAR biggest problem with the game is one that the devs have decided isn't worth fixing. The game could be so so SO much better if they just decided to take some initiative with the problem, but unfortunately they refuse.

So, sorry. I guess today is the day I stop playing, because desync is out of control, and the community does nothing but enable the devs in this literally cancerous habit of ignoring critical problems in lieu of more content.

Wow. POE causes cancer. That is going to be a huge legal burden for GGG. They are going to need a serious support pack for to cover that.

Also, it might not hurt to look up 'literally' and 'figuratively' in the dictionary.
Thanks for all the fish!

WTB Life Supporter Pack...

Or No-Life Supporter pack. :P
GGG - Why you no?
Great point, although I want to think more on it and posting on my phone is a pain.

The connection to the word bothers me, specifically 'literally' which I have certainly inferred a meaning beyond the generic uncontrollable spread of something awful.

When blood alcohol level hits single digits, I'll probably concede being wrong :)

Soon there will be other isometric ARPG with good coding and this game will slowly lose more and more player base because of desync/poor drops/gated drops/gated exp.

People like this are what ruin games. Don't make shit so easy that every person can do it.

90% of people (yes I made that up) who claim they don't have the "time" to do something are full of shit and that is a fact. It also applies to things in the real world too, if you have time to sit on your ass and play games on your phone or look at facebook for 3 hours a day then you had time to do something else... being lazy or not wanting to devote a little bit of your day to work toward a goal is your own problem.

GGG are not losing players and desync exists because of how the game works not because GGG are lazy. There can't be a game with mechanics like POE over the internet without desync, saying something like that just proves how ignorant you are.

yes..inoka is right here..those guys who say to get a better internet should just be silent..not everyone sits in their home playing all day with no job or nothing to do.. i am a student who only plays this game for some refreshment after studies... but 7/10 times i stop playing because of the lag and desync....I have a high speed college WiFi around 10 Mbps in my dormitory...no matter which server you connect to its the same..this game maybe be free to play ..but the developers are getting more money from players than any other game out there...i have tried other FREE games like League of Legends and others..there is no lag at all..if there is a lag they will solve it immediately..and other paid games like diablo 3 and Warcraft have such a smooth game play that i don't want to stop playing at all..i have only paid for the game cd and nothing else...for these games..so don't tell me that this is paid game so good quality..
these guys are making more money than other games with all these transactions and everything...
The other issue is graphics of the game...the game is absolutely useless in utilizing the computer resources correctly..it uses 1-1.5 GB ram and around 256 MB ram and makes the PC hot as a oven.....for those guys who think my PC is bad - i have i5 core overclocked, 2 GB nvidia GTX ,8 GB RAM . even GTA 4 runs on highest settings and it doesn't raise my PC temperature nowhere near like this game does..if the gamers all unite and protest about the issues then something will happen but apparently everyone is content with what mediocre service they are getting and following other people like sheep..

Very high chance someone on the same server as you at your college is torrenting or seeding something. Upload actually has a ton to do with how well this game can function when it comes to desync.

It's not completely unacceptable to me. It's an unfortunate side-effect of the developers' desire to do things properly where it comes to things like hit calculation and collision detection. I support that choice over doing a half-baked implementation that's less technically demanding. I don't think GGG does ignore the issue, either, they make certain changes like the recent Cyclone tweaks to try to minimise the problem and over the long term I feel as though desync has become less frequent and problematic in my experience.

I rarely have issues anymore.

Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF.
Surprised anyone still defends desync, GGG has been dropping incoming "improvements" statement since September 2013. It's honestly the only thing that disappoints me in the dev team since I always trusted their development and statements.

Chris even made a reddit post last season saying a fix is being worked on that will resolve most issues, it actually got my hopes up again.

To me every other complaint is minor or irrelevant compared to desync. GGG has more or less been great at improving every other aspect of the game.

well there are normal people with demand and on the other hand ehrm let's call them very "special" people. Maybe they'll hope to get a nice present from GGG one day but i'am still unsure :)

Just sayin'...you don't live in america, do you? There is no such thing as a better internet connection. I can get better (and cheaper) internet speed, service and connection stability in FUCKING ESTONIA!
