I have to agree with OP on this one. I have played this game for nearly 2 years now.
I have to say while it has gotten a little better. It is far too long with this issue.
GGG should have used the standard netcode instead of trying to "re-invent the wheel."
Soon there will be other isometric ARPG with good coding and this game will slowly lose more and more playerbase because of desync/poor drops/gated drops/gated exp.

I want to like this game, but it's impossible to get past this issue that just cripples the game. I know I'm not the only person who thinks the same. I want to play and partake but I'm not as patient towards issues like these as you and others are.
And don't worry, I've already taken care of most of the things I have to care about during Christmas.

I think he meant the part where you mention that it affects the "entire" player base but i could be wrong.
Also, they dont ignore it, they work on getting rid of it but its not easy with core issues like desync. We had people say the same thing as you btw, who think GGG has people working on anything but desync but thats obviously wrong.
They have people working on all kinds of stuff, new, old, bugs and exploits and of course desync.
Also, if it did affect everyone equally i think we would see more people complaining on the forum other than the usual ones.
And why do you think they decided its not worth fixing? I dont even understand that part at all.

Maybe you're right. Maybe the game is broken on a basic level that they can't fix without remaking the entire game. I guess if that's the case, then I won't ever be returning to Path of Exile.

I'm new to this game, And I must say this problem is killing the fun some times.
Desync is not about the connection. It is a problem with the game engine and the game design. I'm loving the game, don't get me wrong. But for people to cry about this post is proof that fanboys should just drop dead. GGG NEED criticism, so they can Grow as a company, and build a better game, for all of us. I don't see how this post could be seen as offensive. There is a problem, and we need to let the devs know it.
I hope GGG keep up the good work, and fix this thing....!
