Well there are different levels of ignorance. There is the ignorance of being a asshole to someone on the internet by calling them ignorant.
I dont think asking too much that the game makers place relevant information on their own website. For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete.My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it

Cause a lot of shit doesn't make sense in the game in general! lol Dodge and Evasion being 2 separate stats, when in the real world to dodge is to evade, and to evade is to dodge they are the exact same thing... Also why is a dual wield parry called a block?!!! Through-out the ages dual wielding, or hell even 2 hand wield'rs countering an attack has always been a freaking parry! To be able to burn with no ignite?! How does this make logical sense?! Why do we have spell power, elemental, and single element choices?! Is it really necessary?! Why is armour the way it is?! Protects you the most from smaller hits but for the big ones you might as well be butt ass naked! Just bizarre to me! Why does adds dmg on rings and whatnot not work for spells?! I gave up trying to understand logic behind the mechanics months after starting cause nothing makes sense! lol, would be so much easier to build a class if things actually worked the way a logical person would assume when they read the stats/tooltips, and whatnot! When I started I had no clue the added dmg on rings and shit didn't apply to spells, because logically you would thing it would! I agree with dodge and evasion being different is weird, there are a couple ways you could explain it, but ultimately it's a little silly. DW parry is block to keep things simple. To be able to burn without a spark? Magic, deal with it. :P Having spell power, elemental, and single element choices would have to do with they all effect different things. Spell can modify physical spells. Elemental cant, and single element is for specializing, they are usually stronger than the non specific nodes. I'm not completely sure how this effects the game that much as people rarely will not specialize into 1 skill regardless of the tree. I can't explain armor. And for rings, probably a worry of balance, when it comes to videogames if something makes sense and is too strong, you bite the bullet and get rid of it anyway, if you're good you make a lore based excuse on why you nerfed or removed something. For example on the rings I could say, the power imbued by rings is conducted into the weapon and used as a catalyse and I don't know, what the fuck is a catalyse even. |
