[2.1] Nalaa's Phys Lightning arrow | 5L 30k dps

Hey Guys,
Looking for a bit of help. I am currently running a lvl 37 Ranger in Act 3 of Normal. And I feel absolutely weak. I'm using Nalaa's static blow ranger build. One of my issues is that I kill rares extremely slowly. At my the 4L LA according to the tooltip does 50 dps. That seems excessively low. In contrast, my Ice shot + ele damage does 280 dps. I'm not sure if I have enough health, currently sitting on approx ~ 800 health. All resists are around 70. And 49% Armor reduction. My health is so low, that I cannot afford to run any aura's. I am planning on linking reduced mana cost to Wrath + Anger and grace. If I'm not spamming Chain into a huge group of mobs my health drops like a rock. Below is my gear, can anyone help me make this character better. It's my 4th 30+ character and I keep rerolling to find the "right" one. Would really like it to be this one. " First off, there is no reason why you should be taking the x3 avoid stun nodes instead of 2 evasion nodes at the start of the ranger tree. The extra defence you get from converted evasion is better than a random chance at something that should not even matter most of the time. Next, you need more base elemental damage. No point having 93% cold/91% lightning damage if your base amount is low, AND that amount is further divided thanks to LA (30% less damage) + LMP (another 30% less damage) and chain (50% less damage). Your 52 lightning damage with LA becomes 52*1.91*0.7*0.7*0.5 = 24 lightning damage. Your bow is also too slow. Get a grove bow (1.55 attack speed) with 1-50 or so lightning damage. You are also lacking base elemental damage on your rings and amulet. You can get them on gloves as well, btw. Take the HP nodes earlier if you can. You can't run blood magic well with just +78% life. Yong would you mind elaborating on why you say I am not following your build. I thought I was following it to the letter.
As for the evasion rating nodes. I just double checked my build and realized that I did in fact grab them. Just made a mistake in linking the build here. Zeal: In regards to base elemental damage do you means: 1-X Lighting Damage. Or do you mean items with 30% additional weapon elemental damage? Currently I have 8 health nodes. Do you think that is insufficient to run Blood magic ? |

" SChn, that's exactly what I have been doing. Not sure whats going wrong. keep looking at page 1 don't see what you are referring to. yong: I didn't grab the evasion nodes. That was a mistake in the build I posted here. Regarding the chaos resists, I only have had access to 1 node (the 6% one near ele damage). I choose to ignore it temporarily because 6% doesn't seem like a big deal (atleast in normal). I know that will change in later difficulties. p.s. still confused about what base elemental damage means. Also can anyone explain why I should run life leach on Frenzy instead of LOH. ok simple question. should i rush to static blows and screw hp mods or go all mods in the way as your build show to LIVE more?

I need help with equipment upgrades. Can anyone give me some advice?

For weapons, is it better for me to have something with a total of 50-100 ele damage or something with 75-175 physical damage, if they're the same attack speed? Should I be looking at high physical damage bows? My LA dps is only 826. I feel like that's really bad. What am I doing wrong? |
