Seriously, this killing party members at bandits has to stop

Why would you not get killed by another warrior in Wraeclast if you are their enemy?

But, I do have a magical strategy that has made me completely immune to this type of Player VS Player combat.... I do the bandits myself.

Personally i like this mechanic, it keeps things interesting. Though i wish people could hostile eachother at any time, that would be fun. Though im not a PK'er, i do love a good surprise, and always love taking out a PKer.


Oh and yes, even player kills in Hardcore should result in character death, or else whats the point.

D2 PKing > PoE Bandit quest by a very very very long mile, design and fun wise it's not even comparable how D2 got it. The Bandit quest "PKing" part is a lazy and limited attempt at adding PKing in PoE.

you seem to KNOW you're gonna get griefed and then continually group up with strangers for the bandits anyway and get yourself killed yet again, so it's really difficult to feel any sympathy towards you.

if you don't want to get trolled, don't group with random people for the bandit kills. it's that simple.
If you want PVP, you should be playing in the PvP arenas.

Honestly, back in D2, I learned to live with PKers because it permeated the entire game. In POE, having this ONE random quest that allows people to get completely ganked is retarded and makes no sense. Because of the way the game is designed, and because no other ways exist of actually killing hardcore players, I think this "feature" should be removed.

If they were to say in a Manifest that they wanted to implement Cut throat mode or whatever on a new league, that'd be great! But this one situation allowing for players to die to other players PERMANENTLY is completely out of place and only exists as a means to make new players want to quit.

I don't usually party in Act 2 because of this issue, but even if you like ganking other players you can't tell me that it doesn't seem out of place in this game. Because it is.

I only play solo so that doesnt effect me, but they should made it more clear, put a warning on the whole quest or smth

no one expect a pve game to suddenly turn pvp for no reason and yeah I know theres a message but no one reads anything in this game anyway aside from like 5 lore enthusiasts

Amiag and ggnorekthx pretty much summarise why having bandit PKing is one of the poorest parts of PoE's design. It needs to go. Nowhere else is there involuntary PvP except in very specificalyl delineated cut throat leagues. It's not a part of the game at all except in that one very specific spot and situation. The warning it gives is also no excuse because the game has been designed with players being able to skip all dialogue completely should they so choose. Remove it. It does nothing good for the game except to amuse griefers.
